GESS NDP

wow.
im actually impressed by this year's National Day Celebrations in GESS.

past 2 years, it has always been a dull day

but this year was lot of fun

for me, it was standing by, watching the Parade,

then receiving the Bronze Service Award,
then watching the following events
which were some modelling and a "Superband" kind of thing

of course there was a fair share of bad singing

but at least 3 performance were decent
i liked 3I's drummer and 3H's performance
but the sec 5 band was in many's eyes, the most versatile one
and eventually, they won.

Uniformed Groups were hyperactive man.

Blossom waves like every 10 minutes
Of course, we the NCC came up with some interesting moves.
the Uniformed Groups were actually the ones making all the noise,
creating the hype.
sang like no mother.
cheer like no father
jump like no...
..no uncle?

BUT

dat is what you see. what you didnt see, was the NCC at the 2.4 track, after the celebrations.

yes, while NPCC, BB, SJAB all were taking pics,
we were there, isolated, with our hands on the ground.

why?

cuz the marching was not up to standard

i take dat back
to be honest, it sucked, really
no offence to the contingent participants.
it also wasnt their fault
i noticed the band's drumbeat wasnt consistent.
trust me, it affects the marching tempo and speed
confusion = errors

the funny thing is

Mr. Beh kept on saying the mistake is due to:

2 platoons(sec 3 and 4)

being to proud of themselves
and thinking that one is better than the other

how do u relate that to marching?

i agree, us sec 3 have had much disputes with the sec4s
but do we hate them soo much that we wan to cock up our marching?
correction
do we hate ourselves so much to disgrace ourselves in the eyes of the skool?

id say no.

its not about the lack of unity between the 2 platoons
id say its luck. it was a naturally bad run of marching

TOTALLY BY NATURE
