Its 10.30am and I'm still at home!
Computer Programming is cancelled today
so i only have to attend classes fro 2pm to 5pm.
Possibly 4.30pm if i do my practical quickly.

Now if only every schooling day was like this.
Full 8 hours of sleep.
Time to use the computer like this b4 school.
And be 100% fresh when u step out of the house
to head for school.

Well, maybe abit of dat will happen in Year 2?
but for now its just wishful thinking.
Plus, common tests are next week.
3 papers so i have to really mug
through the weekend.

Angels and Airwaves and 5 - 3 victory

Won a soccer match today with the score of 5 - 3.
I didnt score but quite glad that we managed
to pick ourselves up from being down
1 - 3
to making it
5 - 3.
Gratz to those who score.

Moving on,

This is
Angels and Airwaves (AVA).
The song is titled
Secret Crowds.

Personally, i think the band has a great and
unique sound,
and they might just turn out become one of my
favorite bands.
But apparently,
Blink 182 fans are not liking wad they see in AVA.

If you listen to
AVA, you will realise that other
than the familiar voice of
Tom DeLonge (of Blink 182 fame),
the band's music is not at all similar to
Blink 182's.

Back in
Blink 182, they used to write songs
that have a very noticeable touch of
pop/punk rock.
Their songs were fun and their lyrics were catchy,
appealing to many
young listeners.

They even made fun of other music artistes,
like when they did their
"All The Small Things" video.

But now, having created
AVA,
Tom has changed his style alot.
Even the way he appears in videos and performances,
he is nothing like the
Tom every1 used to love.
His much more
serious now.
So people are labeling him as a
sell-out,
becoming something that he once mocked.

Of course, not everybody hates
AVA.
I think Tom reached a part of his life where he felt
that he needed to move on.

He is
married, with kids.
You cant imagine a man like that
singing to the tune and lyrics of
"
Damnit" and "What's My Age Again".
I think the sound of
AVA is just right for him.

So yea, the music industry can be quite
harsh.
But fortunately for
AVA, they've managed to attract
quite a following.

But not as much as how
My Chemical Romance
has gained
worldwide popularity
after they "sold" their
post hardcore sound,
to turn into a very much
alternative rock band.
Their early fans totally hate them now.
But look at what they've gained.

Well i dunno why i'm blogging about music.

But can you imagine life without music?

Man Utd - Champions of Europe

MANCHESTER UNITED
ARE THE

CHAMPIONS

OF

EUROPE!!!

it was a great match
that both teams dragged all the way to penalties.
Thrilling to the very end.
Honestly i tot it was all over when Ronaldo missed
his penalty.

I was on my knees thereafter.

I was never a fan of those who stop or stall
before they take their penalty.
I think the best kind of penalty
is the ones that is taken straight up, directly,
with confidence,
without any feints whatsoever.
Unfortunately Ronaldo didnt think so.
And his technique failed him in the most crucial of all matches.

Again, Ronaldo got lucky
(after missing once already at Barcelona)
cuz his teammates after him,
Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson all kept them alive.
Of course, with the help of John Terry's miss.

I really feel John Terry didnt deserve it.
He's probably one of the most influencial captains
and one of the best defenders England has seen.
Having brought his team all the way through a season
full of injuries and unsettled players and staff,
it all came down to just one kick from the penalty spot.

He slipped and he missed.

Cant imagine how he was feeling.

Van der Sar, on the other hand
became the hero of the day
as he saved Nicolas Anelka's penalty shot.

I gotta admit, luck was a huge part of this victory.
But why wud a Man Utd fan complain?
After 9 years, the Cup is returning to Old Trafford.
And Fergie hails one of the best Devils team
to ever grace the field ever since the golden generation
of 1999.

Back then, that fateful night in Barcelona,
when Man Utd took virtually the last 2 minutes of the game
to win the Cup.

Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, David Beckham, Teddy Sheringham,
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Nicky Butt, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs,
Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Jaap Stam, Peter Schmeichel
just to name a few.

Now in 2008,

Only Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are the surviving members
of the 1999 side.
But joining them are Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez,
Wayne Rooney, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick,
Park Ji Sung, Nani, Anderson
Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown
and Edwin Van der Sar.

like wad Sir Alex Ferguson said,
this side is still young and theres still alot of time
for them to develop.

I hope this is just the start to many more great things to come.

Indiana Jones

Okay,
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
was about the best movie i've seen in a while.
Of course this excludes Iron Man.

But seriously, this movie kept my eyes fixed
on the screen the whole time.
Consequences: Undone Maths homework.
But it doesnt matter now
cuz a good movie always makes you feel good.

Because of this,
I'll be looking forward to watching
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,
the latest installment to the series.
Harrison Ford,
(probably the only actor who's career wasnt destroyed
by Star Wars)
(kidding)
is aged 65 in this one.
Therefore this movie must be full of stunt doubles.
But with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas
once again behind this one,
stunt doubles or not, this is a must watch.
Anyway, i'm keen in watching how the Indiana Jones
character has changed (if any).

These kind of movies are always very entertaining.
The kind that involves treasure,
legends, myths,
lost cities, tombs,
etc; they always capture my attention.
I mean look at how much of a success
National Treasure was.
No doubt Benjamin Gates (Nicholas Cage)
is the modern age Indiana Jones.

Well other than the above mentioned,
theres another movie coming up
that i am VERY looking forward to.
Its along the lines of myths, legends, and treasures.
But not exactly portrayed in the way Indiana Jones is.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
This one stars Brendan Fraser and Jet Li.
It now makes "The Mummy" franchise a trilogy.
Not to mention, I absolutely enjoyed
the first 2 movies.

and here's the one for Indiana Jones

alrite i gotta go sleep now.

gotta wake up before 2.30am
to catch
THE EUROPEAN CUP FINALS

SAJC vs MJC

Week 5.
24th day in Ngee Ann Poly.

Just got back my first test marks in NP.
Its so pleasant to for once pass a Maths test after
years of failure in sec school.

Engineering Mathematics.
22/28.
Standing ovation please.

Aight, enuff of dat.
Its a decent enuff score for me to be proud.
But clearly this is just the beginning
of more complicated things to come.

I rushed to Jalan Besar Stadium
straight after school today.
Took me 1 hour to get there so i missed the first half
of a very exciting A division soccer match between

SAJC and MJC.

MJC have had great sucess in recent years.
They ended runners up last season,
while SAJC have had tough luck in semi finals.
They crashed out of it last season.

And they did so again this year
MJC of course, secured another appearance
in the finals.

Atmosphere was great.
Half the stadium's grand stand side was filled
with JC students cheering for their teams.

Lots of hot school girls as soon as i stepped past the gates.
Notice i say school girls.

But more importantly i was treated to some entertaining
football for more than 45 mins.

When i arrived, SAJC was leading 1 - 0.
They further increased their lead with a well worked
team goal, making the score 2 - 0.
At this point, a finals appearance seemed certain.

SAJC dropped to a defensive stature.
Or rather, MJC were being very persistent in
pressing on their opponents.
They fought hard for possession,
and kept on attacking,
testing the SAJC goalie on more occasions than once.
They were of course backed by a very energetic crowd.

Their reward finally came by when they were awarded
a free kick from the left flank.
A well sent ball into the box,
saw the ball headed low into the bottom right corner
of the goalpost, with the keeper only
getting a slight touch on the ball.

They kept on attacking
and there was nothing much SAJC could do.
However, their triumph today was also
extremely controversial.

In probably the last 5 mins of the second half,
MJC was awarded a penalty.
In my point of view, there were no fouls.
There seemed to be no handball,

no pulling and no pushing.
Yet, the ref pointed to the spot.
The MJC penalty taker slotted home an inch perfect
penalty kick down to the bottom right corner.
The goalie once again only had a slight touch.

MJC morale was at an all time high.
This was to be a comeback of their dreams.
All 90 mins were played,
and after the score was still leveled after extra time,
it was all down to penalty shootouts.

SAJC denied
MJC denied

SAJC scores
MJC scores

SAJC denied
MJC denied

SAJC hits the post
MJC scores

the next penalty was crucial.
SAJC had to score it no matter wad.

Unfortunately, the MJC keeper saved the penalty.

I didnt wait long after that cuz the SAJC ppl
i were with got pissed and wanted to leave straightaway.
But i stayed long enough to notice the inevitable
tears of joy and despair shed by players
on the field of green.

On the bus ride home, i learnt something very important.
As a player you must be prepared for anything
and everything.
Especially penalties.
In a match where there is no room for errors,
your weakness might prove to be your team's downfall.
Therefore, train until you cant possibly disappoint,
though one must always bear in mind
that mistakes do happen.

Yea so dat was my Thursday

dedication to Man Utd

Many ppl (including me) wore
the Red Devils jersey to school today.

Such a great sign of passion and love.

Sealed with a kiss to the crest,

I dedicate my 3 goals today

to the club that I love most;

Manchester United.

nuff said

Man Utd 07/08 Champions!

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON!!!..

This year's league proved to be one
to fight for til the very end.
And today, D-Day and the last day of the BPL,
the United faithful reign supreme!

10th Premier League title.
(excluding the old league division)

Certainly a memorable year for the Red Devils.
Records were broken.
- Ryan Giggs matches Sir Bobby Charlton's record
for most appearances for United, at 758.
- Scoring 4 goals in 3 games consecutively
- Most goals scored in a half (6 against Newcastle)

Talents arose.
But most notably the name that comes to mind
can only be one,
and that is Cristiano Ronaldo.
His performance this season just cant be described with words.

after United's victory today,
i had a short conversation with Haziq,
who is a Chelsea fan.
(Chelsea 2 points short of matching Man Utd)

yea i probably pissed him off. lol
Chelsea fans please dun take my words to heart.
I just wanted to agitate Haziq,
because its a 2D/4G way of life.

Anyway, its all back to square one 10 days from now,
in Moscow,
whereby Man Utd and Chelsea WILL meet again.
This time, for the title of
Champions of Europe!!

19th day in Ngee Ann Poly.

Today had a really weird start.
Mom woke me up at 6am.
And asked me if i was supposed to head to school
early or late today.
Thinking that a 9am start was considered early,
i said "early".

So she rushed me to wake up,
eat my breakfast, bath and everything
with the mentality that i was gonna be late.
I completed everything in 15 mins
instead of the usual 30 mins.

I left home and walked briskly to the bus stop
cuz i was a minute behind time.
(would have missed a bus)
But when i got to the bus stop,
tired after the incredibly fast paced start to the day,
i finally realised that i was an hour ahead of time.

You see to my mom, "early" means
im supposed to be at school by 8am.

futsal - 3rd training

Week 4.
16th day in Ngee Ann Poly.
My first taste of sour defeat at the futsal court.

This is actually my second loss.
My first was on Saturday,
but that one was after a 3 game winning streak.
So losing didnt matter.
This time though, we got kicked out on our first match.

The opponents were very formidable.
Commanded from the back by a rock solid defender.
Their last line of defence was the best keeper around.
And yea la the whole team was good.
But im not using that as an excuse.
(though maybe i involuntarily just did)

But anyway, i had a few decent touches on the ball.
The one moment i cant get rid off on my mind
was when i got past one on the right,
thn from out of nowhere
i was taken down by a living bulldozer.
I probably got thrown a feet away,
landed on my knee where a bad cut now lies.
Not a cut la. But that thing u get when ur skin drags
on a rough surface. Forgot wad its called.

At any rate, that wound is now
nothing but a reminder that i'm still not good enough.
Still not fast enough.
Still not intimidating enough.

It was a hard tackle.
Hard yet clean.
(well at least it seemed clean)

With this, i now have lost twice in NP,
out of a total of 16 games so far.
3 draws if i can remember properly.
4 goals for CCA,
4 goals for Sports & Wellness.

This tally can only go up.
It will never remain stagnant.
(excluding the losing part)

PS: To Valerie who has tagged me,
the thingy thing that im supposed to do
is gonna have to wait til at least tomorrow yar.

Labour Day 2008

A well deserved break today for all those working
men and women who have been working hard. o.O
And also all the students studying hard
for MYEs or wadever it is ur studying for.
Of course i'm not one of them.

Today i was supposed to go out with OG Whisky.
But in the end i had to stay at home cuz
the ppl who are gonna renovate my house came over
to measure the details and all.
Being the only person in the household who speaks English,
i had to stay so that they and my parents
dun engage in a chicken and duck conversation.

Wad are they doing working on Labour Day anyway?

Well whatever it is, i'm glad my house is finally
getting a renovation.
Actually, only the kitchen.
But that'll do cuz the kitchen is what im worried about anyway.

My mom cooks everyday on a stove
thats 1310398123 years old.
Its oven malfunctioned like more than 10 years ago.
It cant even close properly.
Heck, everytime i look at the stove i feel like
it could explode anytime.

If only i could take photos of my kitchen
(AND MY TOILET)
and show you ppl.
Not as a means of showing off of course.

Anyway, my toilet is very old.
Its separated into 2 diff rooms, toilet bowl and bathroom,
unlike most of ur toilets.
And the toilet bowl is the squatting one.

And the kitchen cabinets,
luckily its only my mom who uses them.
Cuz if any1 else stronger than her tries to open any of the compartments,
they'll probably tear the whole thing apart.

My point is, my kitchen is old,
its dirty,
its got insects and lizards crawling all over it at night,
and its old.

So i'm kinda looking forward to an all new kitchen
