Singapore Idol

well i cant really watch it
cuz i have to make it to the mosque everynight for prayers
not really complaining though

at least i get to watch 20 mins of it at SAFRA nearby.
i end my prayers at around 9pm
walk to SAFRA and reach at 9.10
so i watch it there live on the big screen for 20 mins

good enough to see who wins.

i nvr really took sides.
halfway through the spectaculars
i predicted Hady and Jon to be there.
but by watching the highlights of ytday's showdown
i wud say Hady did a better job.
both on their chosen songs and the new song.

so i predict Hady will win
though Jon really got some decent voters.

whoever wins
not as if their gonna go to World Idol anyway.
nor last for more than 2 years?
come to think of it,

Beginning Of Ramadan

so it has begun
the long awaited (??) fasting month of the Muslim calender.
its onli 12.30 pm now and my stomach is complaining
for yer info, break fast is around 7pm

and did you realize
break fast sounds like breakfast!?!?
did you!?!
IRONIC LEH!

k obviously im trying to waste time.
but actually. dats not the true way to fast.
you shudnt just sleep around doing nothing,
waiting for sunset to arrive.

the fasting month is also knowned as the holy month of the year.
all evil spirits are tied up. (dun fear the 7th month anymore; isit still on?)
sins will be washed away
even the smallest good doings, will be recognized greatly.
so basically, it is the time to act like an angel
and hopefully, after one month of doing so,
you will find your true self and continue acting like how u have been!

as for me, im gonna try me best not to skip Subuh(morning prayer)
anymore,
not to delay all 5 of my prayer times
cut down on vulgarities
help others in need
and all the good stuff u can think about.

i cant blog much now
got Chemistry to study.
and hopefully on this holy month,
god will hear my call for help
and help me in this battle against education.

PAIN

My IPOD Shuffle(however u spell it)

just died.
i dont know wad the fish happened to it.
it can be charged.
it can be detected in the computer.
it suffers no tampered buttons.

IT
JUST
WONT
FREAKING
WORK

Next

MY HANDPHONE

okay, not the fanciest of all handphones
some random sony ericsson shit
and its second hand anyway
but fuck
i bought it for 130 bucks
who would give me 130 bucks?
you? the person who visits my blog?
this marks the 3rd time i lost contact with my phone
and the 2nd time i lost it

meaning there was once i left it in the taxi,
kept calling and calling it,
and recovered it.

so i got screwed.
but i wasnt just gonna let it be.
i rode 3 times, the bus that i lost the phone in.
and i reported it at the interchange.
sadly, it was raining and i brought an umbrella
even more sadly, i left the umbrella in the bus.

and..so i got screwed
freaking hellishly, that umbrella was my fathers favourite.

dats not all.

MY TELEVISION (not exactly mine)

is not working properly. both of em.
the first one suffers some kind of "mechanical hiccups"
while ur keenly watching some animals mating on some documentary,
the screen turns black while emitting some irritating sound.

the second one
SOMEHOW has to preload.
preloading television?
i have one!
it takes 15 mins for it to turn from a blank screen
to a full coloured one.

SADLY

my computer monitor
suffers from "mechanical hiccups" too

so THIS is wad i call pain.

without ipod and handphone
my pocket feels so empty
i cant play games properly
i cant watch tv properly
i cant fucking think properly

RARRR

sry for the long wait for a new post.
hvn had much to say for the past few days.

fuck
wad am i talking about?
who visits this blog anyway?
you?
okay. YOU visit this blog.
but other than you?
not many really.
not like i'm jiayi anyway.

HOWEVER!

i find blogging, and then visiting my own blog and reading the posts
rather exciting!

it just tells me how bad at typing i can be.

anyway.
there has been alot of commotion in class/school
on something dat id rather not discuss
but while all eyes are there.
nobody has shared my pain!

u want pain?
I'll show you wads pain.

Believe - Yellowcard

Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Climbing higher through the fire, time was running out
Never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive
But you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Be strong. Believe.

Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
Never fearing, only hearing voices calling out
Let it all go, the life that you know, just to bring them down alive
And you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.

Again today, we take into our hearts and minds those who
perished on this site five years ago, and also those who came
to toil in the rubble to bring order out of chaos, to help us
make sense of our despair

Wanna hold my wife when I get home
Wanna tell the kids they'll never know how much I love to see them smile
Wanna make a change right here right now
Wanna live a life like you somehow
Wanna make your sacrifice worthwhile

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.

Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say
here, but it can never forget what they did here

Not a single hw done.
Not a single textbook opened.
Not a single page of notes read.

Maybe yes this time.

Dont worry i'll figure things out.

At least i got rid of something in my mind.
Yes. the APS appointment is mine. Part C APS dat is.

Phase 2

right now, packing my bag for tmr's camp
NCOs Course, better knowned as Leadership Course.
not too long, 2 days 1 night.

shud have nothing to fear in this camp.
its mainly specialization trainings
meaning, an Administrative Sergeant would learn admin stuff,
Quartermaster would learn logistics stuff,
and things like that

i dont really know wad im up against actually
i dunnoe wad an Assistant Platoon Sergeant(APS) has to train on.
Additionally, my APS post isnt confirmed yet.
which gives me this big fear of screwing up.

but i dont think i'll be IC of any big shit
and as long as i give standard,
pay attention, do things the right way,
think before i speak and do,
i shud be leaving the camp with a smile.

It has been a great and long fight for this APS appointment.
Ive been holding on to it for quite a time.
Appointment list was pinned on the board and for a moment i felt relieved.
But now, they reannounce dat the the appointments are tentative.
Just have to keep on fighting

So wad REALLY to expect?
Talks, lessons, field cooking, cheering for food,
sleeping damn late, waking up early,
sharing of toilets

AND THE LIST GOES ON

CROCS RULE

The irony of getting killed by something you once lived to protect

Stephen Robert "Steve" Irwin (22 February 1962 - 4 September 2006)
was an Australian naturalist, wildlife expert and television personality. He was best known for the programme The Crocodile Hunter, an unconventional wildlife documentary series he hosted with his wife, Terri Irwin.

"I consider myself a wild-life warrior. My mission is to save the world's endangered species." - the aforementioned

Unfortunately, on September 4th 2006, he was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while off in the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. He was filming for an upcoming documentary series which would have featured his 8 year old daughter. Irwin was pronounced dead at noon. He was not killed by the sting itself, but by from a puncture through his heart.

Several Australian news websites went down due to high web traffic and talk-back radio experienced a high volume of callers expressing their grief, commemorating his passion and exuberance.

Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, among many other politicians, expressed his "shock and distress" at the death, saying that "Australia has lost a wonderful and colourful son.” Steve was an ambassador of Australia's pride in wildlife and most importantly, for being himself.

It is the irony
of getting killed by something you once lived to protect.

But loved ones are sure that Steve passed away with no regrets.

Steve was a great fan of Singapore Zoo, considering it a sister institution with the Australia Zoo.
