Im rather late, but here goes,
Happy Lunar New Year!
(to anyone who wants to accept this wish)

4 days of holidays.
4 days of supposed studying and revision.
4 days totally wasted.

Well at least i played soccer, did some shopping,
and helped plan this year's Annual Camp further.

Can see that certain people are putting
in lots of effort in planning a hell of a camp.
I'll do wadever i can to help.
But its just so sad that i wont be able to attend it.

Annual Camp was always fun.
Cadet, NCO, old boy.
In all 3 perspectives i've found AC fun and beneficial.

As a cadet it was that overflowing sense of team spirit.
Always looking out for each other and reminding
one another of the right thing to do
so we dont get our hands on the ground.
(in which most cases we usually do)
It was also about never knowing wad was gonna happen next.
The excitement of it all..

As an NCO it was really very stressful and tiring.
But it was a bigger learning experience than anything in the world.
You learn more about ur cadets, your own platoon mates
and of course yourself.
At the end of the camp u feel the great sense of satisfaction.
It a great feeling;
everyone doing their jobs so that the camp
would run efficiently.

As an old boy it was the freedom.
You could do anything. (responsibly)
Of course you dont interfere with cadet-NCO matters.
You could be anywhere.
Interacting with the new faces,
helping to coordinate activities,
or maybe even help them cook lunch and dinner
for close to a 100 people.
How can that not be fun?

Men working together.
People helping people.
Esprit de Corps

Just too bad that im gonna have to sit out on the coming one.

In other news, i finally went about downloading
Death Cab for Cutie's Narrow Stairs
and The Academy Is...'s Fast Times at Barrington High.

Great albums, both of em
