Music Angel
Posted on 9:55 PMby Aziz with No comments
I finally got my portable speakers.
MUSIC ANGEL as it is called.
Producing 3D sounds,
coveniently playing iPods,
having simple yet stylish shape,
coated in silver,
she's a beauty indeed.
dats why i wont bring her to school.
but i'll change my mind soon

Over for soccer
Posted on 9:00 PMby Aziz with No comments
gosh.
i guess if it happens, it happens.
Soccer already out of tournament.
just because of the slightest of all losses.
2-1 to Queenstown.
after 2 draws against Queensway and Beatty.
and a big win over New Town.
happens just like dat.
not as if im in the team.
but for once id like to see the team go far.

Naruto and Bleach
Hitsugaya and Co goes to school,
as Naruto and friends are about to turn 15.
things are getting a lil bit exciting.
Naruto is entering its 2nd Season in
mid February.
for those who missed the earlier 200 plus episodes,
a brief idea of it.

SINGAPORE: CHAMPIONS 2007
Posted on 10:10 PMby Aziz with No comments
Khairul Amri is the exact example
of how I WISHED,
ALL Singapore players played like,
throughout the tournament.
You see an opportunity,
you are confident,
you go for it,
you score.
Singapore has been WAY too conservative in their
attacking methods.
except for the ones against Laos.
but lets leave this ASEAN Championships behind,
and go for the ASIAN Cup next!!
consequently, WORLD CUP!!

First Job
Posted on 9:08 PMby Aziz with No comments
So i went to work today.
OMG. A-z goes to work!
yea i need money.
well, its not those kind of jobs where
i go for an interview,
fill up some forms,
and Your Hired,
dat kind of thing.
its pretty much FREELANCE,
u can choose to work anytime.
of course, on weekends.
so today was Jaarvis, me, Iskandar,
Luqman, Shahril, Janvin.
they came in a funky orange van
gave us the flyers, instructions, and we moved out.
MISCONCEPTION 1: Today, A-z went around crowded places,
standing around, giving away flyers.
MISCONCEPTION 2: Today, A-z went around letter boxes and gave
each a flyer.
no no no no no
TRUTH: Today, A-z climbed (took the lift) to the top floor
of every block of his designated area, and went down
floor by floor, giving each unit, a flyer.
TIRING
at 500, i felt the need to head to 7/11 to get 100 Plus.
now sumwhere around here, this weird thing happened.
At the end of the corridor i saw a man.
Lying down directly in front of a closed door.
I took a closer look.
He was having fits.
(excreting saliva continously, with body shaking
rather vigorously)
I freaked out, and skipped dat entire floor.
when i finished the block, the ambulance came.
i really dont remember much.
so i finished a thousand.
but then, we had to wait for the guy
to give us another 500 or so each.
for the love of MONEY,
we did it.
i finished faster then Shahril so i waited for him downstairs.
he needed another block of units to complete.
after lying down for a minute
on the typical semi circle blue bench,
i fell asleep.
i even had a dream i was giving out flyers.
and i woke up knowing dat my hand jerked,
when i gave out the last flyer in my dream.
now, everytime i see a block of flats,
i get giddy.
everytime i see the staircase,
i feel tired.
everytime i see a door,
i must slowly approach it,
a dog might be behind it and suddenly bark.
yea. dogs really didnt do me any justice.
they ALWAYS shock me.
i end up skipping the whole corridor.
so now i developed this whole
FLYEROPHOBIA.
IM DEAD TIRED.

Kallang ROARED
Posted on 10:14 PMby Aziz with No comments
Kallang ROARED.
in the last ever competitive match played on its grounds.
a match so controversial,
the Thais are probably going mad at the referee.
Singapore benefits through a questioned penalty,
given by the Malaysian official,
to proceed with a 2 - 1 win.
the big mystery is whether Singapore striker Noh Alam Shah,
really was brought down by a Thai defender,
in the penalty box.
Thai players all refused to play on, and left the pitch,
frustrated by the decision made.
10 mins of time was wasted to convince
Thailand to play on.
The referee was to stay firm with his decision.
to be honest, according to wad i saw,
MAYBE it was a bad decision.
but i'd like to think otherwise.
the main problem lies ahead.
Already benefiting from a controversial penalty,
Singapore is yet to face Thailand AGAIN,
this time in BANGKOK
Imagine the treatment they will receive there,
not only by players,
but by spectators.
Anyways, good luck LIONS!
BRING HOME THE CUP FOR THE 3RD TIME!

A new era

Ka: Is this a new beginning?
he was referring to GESS soccer trashing New Town
7 - 3.
over at Queenstown Sec School.
i dont know much about the team since i abandoned it
for one year in 2006.
but i can recall in 2004, we lost to New Town
in an opening match
of a season we finished 2nd last.
2005 saw improvements.
but GESS soccer has never tasted as much success
as the BBall team.
7 - 3 is indeed a good score.
adding to a "like 90-15 or smth"
win from the GESS bball team.
(according to Ka again)
we cud have went on a killing spree if Netball had won
Cedar Girls.
unfortunately, Cedar is "like nationals top 3 or sth"
[you can guess who said dat (ka)]
i THINK Netball's statistics are like
W - L - W - L
still a fair result.
so yea, back to soccer,
i nvr really considered joining it back.
but after school today, i saw the jersey.
its nice ;_;
all i have with me is an ugly red black old one.
which is STILL oversized.
___________________________________________________________________________
Around one more hour till
Singapore vs Thailand.
the first leg of the FINALS.
Kallang ROARS, one last time.
too bad i cant be there.
i guess i'll be having more heart attacks 8pm onwards.

Posted on 9:26 PMby Aziz with No comments
I don't think watching the Arena
improves my English much.
well nobody said it would.
but the EL department encouraged us. so..
you know wad i mean.
i applaud the students who got the guts
to participate in such a competition.
but to learn anything from them?
hardly.
they were just overwhelmed by the tension
of the moment.
dat sometimes, they start to argue on a diff topic.
they also dont really talk properly.
they just RUSH thru their words.
im not saying i can do anything better. but.
you know wad i mean.
BUT
you CAN learn a thing or 2 from the judges.
they gave comments and tips on how to
improve the quality of the debate.
you can apply their advice into writing
argumentive essays for EL.
dats all i learnt.

Singapore defeats Malaysia in Penalties
Posted on 9:32 AMby Aziz with No comments
Once again,
i regret not being an owner of a camera.
So many pics cud have been taken
but nvrm.
we're through to the finals again!!
this time by a Penalty Showdown.
i really couldnt take the pressure of penalty shootout
live in a stadium, sincerely supporting ur home team.
its very different when you are at home,
supporting a team like England in penalties.
both teams first 5 shooters made their shots count.
it was Shi Jia Yi who really raised everyones adrenaline rate
when his shot was touched by the fingertips
of the Malaysian goalie
but went into the goal anyway.
So when it was down to Malaysia's 5th kicker,
ppl had their arms around each other, cheering,
"SAVE! SAVE! SAVE! SAVE"
it was a rather weak effort.
and Lionel Lewis took advantage of it.
he saved it.
the crowd went wild. real wild.
newspaper pieces and aeroplanes flew everywhere.
ppl hugged ppl they didnt know.
ppl just kept on jumping and scream.
it didnt matter how thin the win was.
the point is, there WILL be a SINGAPORE
in the FINALS.
TIP: when you are watching a Singapore match at the stadium,
make sure you watch along with
Me, Iskandar Shahril Benny Jaarvis Guo Sheng Muneer Phelan Wai Leong,
Intake 03: Khalish, Hanif, Kai Sheng, Solomon, Juan Wen
and my QTSS friends: Junaidi, Yusof, Wee Kheong.
win or lose, confirm have fun.
jaarvis and junaidi made so many ppl laugh.
Malaysia,
"BALIK KAMPONG! OH OH OH BALIK KAMPONG!.."

Malaysia 1 - Singapore 1
Posted on 10:27 PMby Aziz with No comments
I swear i went thru a few mins of hell
watching dat Malaysia vs Singapore game.
First of all, the Malaysians scored first.
They looked as if they were dominating.
Then Singapore pulled one back.
Then there was dat penalty claim.
Then the Lionel Lewis slight mistake.
Then the Lionel Lewis crucial save.
Aide Iskandar was shown the RED for some reason.
It wasnt showed on the screen.
No reply too.
I dont know.
The bad news is, he cant play the next match
this Saturday, against Malaysia again.
After all dat, there was FOUR bloody minutes
of added time for me to survive through.
Thn the corner flag broke into half.
Then the FAST thinking referees argued
on whether they must replace the flag first.
THEN FINALLY
the final whistle blew.
1 - 1 isnt the best score for the Lions to bring home.
taking into consideration dat they will
be playing without 2 key defenders,
Precious
and
Captain, Aide Iskandar.
It WILL be a big blow.

Man U Slip Up
Posted on 6:37 PMby Aziz with No comments
Another slip up for Man U.
Just when Liverpool downed Chelsea 2 - 0,
Man U just had to lose to Arsenal 2 - 1.
they allowed a 1-0 lead to be overturned

just because of these 2 idiots.
but i gotta admit, V.Persie and Henry really are something
quite a fuss about it this morning.
even my Malay teacher asked who won o.O
surprisingly, Mr Abraham Joseph didnt show
any signs of depression dat a die hard fan would suffer.
Mr. AJ went on to lead the school
through his now trademark cheer.
the G-E-S-S-I-A-N + punch the air cheer.
theres a new cheer created by Mr. AJ
"GREEN RED WHITE!
GESSIANS GESSIANS FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!"

Muse, Flag Day
Posted on 9:28 PMby Aziz with No comments
20th January.
Muse came and gone. Some say it was the greatest gig in the history of all greatest gigs.
Some say the Singapore crowd sucks.
Whatever it is, MUSE never fail to give the best
live performances in the world.
Thank goodness there is YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN8ODgzYN6s
help urself.
____________________________________________________________________
we had flag day for CIP this year.
it was for the Dahrul Ihsan Orphanage.
it was my 3rd time doing flag day.
first 2 being for Yellow Ribbon.
judging from how HEAVY the others' cans were,
i think me, sufi and haziq got more collections thn the rest
of the class combined.
just kiddin. i only checked a few ppl's.
and u cant judge by how heavy the can/tin is.
anyway wads most important is dat we did it
without hesitation and from the heart.
LOTS of FUNNY things happened.
i was standing at my spot.
an Indian man approached me.
with the mainland Indian accent, he went on to say:
Indian Foreigner: Excuse me, where MRT?
A-z: Over there *points to direction of Lavender
Indian Foreigner: How to go to Hollywood?
halo! Hollywood leh. the moment he said dat,
a few possibilities crossed my mind.
1. Did he mean Bollywood? But still, dats not a place.
dats just a term for Indian filming industry.
2. Is it an attraction or theme park in Singapore which i
dont know of?
3. Does this guy even know he is in Ma-ri-ki-ta Land,
not the USA?
4. Is this guy a star in the making? Just lost?
with his accent, he kept on saying Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood.
i bit my tongue just to hold my laughter.
he finally took out a map.
and guess where he pointed to?
WOODLANDS.
A-z: yes sir, MRT is better than bus.
Indian Foreigner: OKAY. thank you
A-z: *laughing alone in the middle of the street
____________________________________________________________________
then something funny happened to SUFI.
i was talking to him about Scout's Job Week.
in which they raise funds by going around house to house,
asking if they could do any chores.
A-z: What if they dont want u to do any chores?
Sufi: Even if they dont want we just ask them,
"Would you like to make a contribution.."
so at this very moment a lady walked past.
Chinese Lady: For?
get it? she tot Sufi was talking to her.
so she asked what the contribution was for.
Sufi got a lil shocked. thn said it was for orphanage.
Haziq, Iskandar and I IMMEDIATELY laughed.
much more happened today.
but for now, imma continue watching Naruto.

Singapore vs Indonesia
Posted on 10:06 PMby Aziz with No comments
God.
That was too close.
Singapore 2
Indonesia 2
Thankfully, we qualify to the semi finals.
Our Golden Boy Indra Shahdan scores again.
earlier on, Noh Alam Shah reverted a penalty into a goal.
But both Singapore goals
were equalised by respective
Indonesian goals.
So it was thrilling game throughout, with twists and turns
here and there.
Vietnam worked Laos into a 9 - 0 win.
But Singapore won 11 - 0 remember?
so Singapore is TOP of the table
because they scored most goals in 3 games.
Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia
shared the same points.
But Indonesia fell 3rd place
cuz they failed to score more goals.
So the next match will be a CAUSEWAY match.
Singapore vs Malaysia.
There are a 101 reasons for every1 to anticipate this game.
Its a classic.
23rd Jan. I'll be looking forward to it.

Let It Shine
Posted on 8:07 PMby Aziz with No comments
Watching Gan Eng Seng School getting featured on the new
Channel 8 series Let It Shine
feels kinda weird.
I dunnoe.
the classrooms actually look NEAT and WELL DECORATED.
the school looks pretty clean and all.
but there was almost no hint dat
it was indeed,
GAN ENG SENG SCHOOL.
shudnt they at least show the NAME of the premises on their show?
oh wait!
there WAS a hint!
the Tiong Bahru Side Gate wall.
those red letters on the short lil wall.
and guess wad the characters did?
they climbed over it!
yes!
they are showcasing how easy it is to break in and out of
the skool!
just kidding. entertainment purposes.
im not trying to boast or anything,
but maybe,
MAYBE,
they got this idea from us, going back home from
training, climbing over dat wall as one large group.
they were somewhere near.
anyway, the school is encouraging us to watch the Arena
tonight.
currently, its PCK on channel 5, which apparently
deproves ur English.
so those watching PCK,
better watch the Arena later on.

Singapore vs Laos
Posted on 10:01 PMby Aziz with No comments
Singapore 11 Laos 0
Asean Cup.

Indra Shahdan 7 goals.
No wonder he's on dat Nike Ad.
the "u score and i'll break ur bone" ad.
Now just need to win Indonesia.
And we'll most probably qualify from top of the table.
If draw, still qualify la.
unless Vietnam and Indonesia score more than 11 goals la.
Vietnam and Indonesia drew with each other, 1 - 1.
Now Singapore must NOT lose to Indonesia.
If they do, and Vietnam claim 3 points from Laos,
dats it.
Well, Indonesia IS out for revenge.
We denied them the Cup 2 years ago.

a close 4 - 3 win
weather without rain
good things do happen when u pray hard for it.
and though i scored a HATTRICK,
overall, im disappointed with myself.
i missed soo many times in the 2nd half.
i cant blame everything on the mud.
though it didnt do me any justice.
all my goals were results of assists from my teammates.
first one was from a beautiful in swinging corner.
for some reason, i was left unmarked.
the ball landing directly in front of goal line,
having lobbed over the keeper,
was perfect for me to finish with a diving header.
second one was the kind of
get-ball-turn-shoot kind of goal.
cant remember who passed to me.
third one, the opponent goalie miskicked his goal kick.
Setiawan got it, passed to me,
and after missing like 5 times in front of goalpoast
by using the correct method of kicking,
i just decided to tonjol the ball
(kicking it with ur toes)
it went in so dat made it 4 - 3 in
extension time.
bloody lucky.
almost self destruct early in 2nd half, conceding 2 goals.
luqman got a few saves, at least he didnt flop anything.
phelan's performance was surprising.
i shudnt doubt him anymore.
ke de wasnt as good as we expected.
he still made an impact though.
benny had trouble in first half cuz of his shoe.
but he really made up for it on the 2nd.
chi jie was also steady. good passes coming from him.
wai leong also not bad. haha. serious.
ri sheng had to go out early cuz got knocked on the head.
but he still hasnt lost his dribbling touch man.
rahim was VERY good.
knowned for his high work rate, he was one of the few
who made the effort to attack AND defend.
defence was strong, with him around.
setiawan assisted 3 of our 4 goals.
including a flawless corner, a pass with the knee
and many many tackles to get the ball.
guo sheng just couldnt find his finishing touch.
but im nt saying he didnt do good.
in fact, instead of me supporting him,
he supported me.
muneer played a fabulous game.
dribbling pass everyone, passing here and there.
scored the first goal too.
as for me, even though i scored 3, i really didnt like
my performance just now.
like i said, i missed alot.
yes, i did come to score a hattrick,
but also much much more.
anyway. it was a rather good game
not the best ever though.

Pray. Pray hard
Everyone out there, pray for me.
Pray for GOOD weather tomorrow.
God, i wont even ask for GOOD weather.
all i'm asking for is weather that does not obstruct us to play soccer.
God, i wont even ask for good weather the whole day.
just the morning shall do.
Since 2005 we've been doing this.
we played 7 matches with each other.
3 wins for each, and 1 draw.
tomorrow may well settle it.
rain please stop for just one morning
and let us have one heaven of a game.

Thursday is Doomsday
Posted on 9:09 PMby Aziz with No comments
One look at the time table (4G)
and you'll know that Thursday is one
pathetic day.
Double A.Math/POA
followed by double E.Math
followed by double English
followed by Chemistry
followed by double Biology
POA was to be boring as usual
E.Math was to be as confusing as usual
there was gonna be a writing test
and a Chem test,
and well, 1 hour of absorbing Bio stuff.
but hey!
it turned out to be an OK day.
breezed thru POA cuz the topic was easy,
did some timing thing for E.Math,
(i write 40 words per minute)
and i think i did a good job on writing,
"Is The Majority Always Right?"
Chem test was an open book one
and I THINK i'll pass.
Bio was great cuz we recieved test marks.
27/30 XD
also did summore tests.
maybe u just cant judge a book by its cover.
in this case, a day by the timetable.

Bio Practical with Goats eyes
Posted on 7:57 PMby Aziz with No comments
Bio practical was freaky.
but way too fun.
Bisected a sheep/goat/lamb eye.
i still dont know which of the 3.
thank god there were gloves.
for those who have not went thru this bio practical,
advice from me to you,
DO NOT SMELL IT.
just dont.
but if u want to, go ahead.
anyway, it wasnt all gross and yukky,
it was a good way to learn more about the eye.
anyway a difference between a sheep/goat/lamb's
eye with ours is dat
their pupil seem to be much bigger than the iris.
we learn that the Pupil, the part that allows light to enter the eye,
enlarges when more light is needed in order to see.
due to this
i cant help but think dat they
"SAW THE LIGHT"
before they died.
maybe u dont get it.

Orientation Over!
Posted on 9:36 PMby Aziz with No comments
Woo!
Im beat, tired, exhausted, lethargic, half dead.
We managed to pull through!
Well actually much credit goes to the CLTs
for helping in every way possible. ;_;
Mock attack cock up a lil bit
cuz the amplifier went haywire
and didnt wanna work for us.
its funny dat we tested it ytday and it worked fine.
but nevertheless, the Part B and Cs did a fine job.
i guess they gave it their all.
its sad though, to end things off with a casualty.
thnks SJAB for treating him ;_;
from what ive heard, SJAB did VERY well.
we'll see how things go from here then.
i think we did well too.
quite a number.
well, though its still of my concern,
i wont be worrying about recuitment drive much anymore.
ive got my own platoon to take
along with
Chi Jie
Mun Wah
Benny
Ali
Hardeep
Ri Sheng
start planning for Annual Camp!!

CCA Orientation (UG) 2007
Posted on 9:38 PMby Aziz with No comments
Time flies.
CCA Orientation for Uniformed Groups is tomorrow.
the condition of NCC's static display room
well, its in a mess really,
but tmr we'll do the touch ups.
mock attack seems to be okay.
thnx to the help from CLTs.
my only concerns there are the smoke bombs.
and the fairly good acting.
from what ive heard, this year's batch are inactive in physical activities.
every year theres ALOT of competition from other UGs.
this year, SJAB has been having a rather big campaign.
Giving out flyers everywhere.
Scouts, as usual will have the most impressive display.
Many are attracted to NPCC's shooting range.
And of course,
BB's constant improvement into being a top flight unit.
NCC has been the most consistent unit in GESS history.
but dat doesnt mean we have a clear win.
we arent the best NCOs ever.
some may even think we'll be the downfall of the unit.
tomorrow is part of the deciding factor.
may god be with us.

Countdown@ViVoCity
Posted on 2:56 PMby Aziz with No comments
Watching Countdown 2007, i noticed several things.
1) Gurmit Singh is really versatile.
He acts, he sings, he dances.
He acts comedy, he acts drama.
He sings acoustic, he raps.
He is the only contractor in Singapore who can breakdance.
2) Daniel Ong flirting with Jamie Teo
"Ok baby, i mean Jamie."
Thn he gives a playful look at the camera, thn back to Jamie.
"A simple question, why are u blushing?"
3) Daniel Ong leading the crowds
He was shouting "Yeah Yeah Yeah!!" to the crowd.
His last YEAH was to loud and caused some problems
with the sound system or something.
Only half the Yeah was heard.
so it sounded like
YEAH YEAH F*** YEAH!!
4) Paul Twohill cant breakdance
Joakim was okay. Gurmit did a great Worm.
Paul attempted the tri-stand.
And fell in an undesired way.
5) Taufik Batisah is EVILL..
Gurmit asks Taufik, "What are ur goals for 2007"
He answers,
"I wanna make more friends, and er..
make more mm.."
at this point he was giving this damn sly and cheeky
look on his face.
He went on to say "Music"
not "MONEY"
Well we know the truth dont we? ;)
Best performance of the night?
I'd say JJ Lin, Mi Lu Ping and Lucify.
Female Mediacorp Artistes performing Man Eater was hip too.

HElllOOOO...2007!
a few mins ago was last year!!
ppl!!
well ever since i was a child, i always had this thinking dat
12mn every new year wud be the defining time
of the end of the world.
now this was always scary, especially in 2000.
so SOMEHOW, this fear came back.
and when u ppl were counting 10 to 1,
believe it or not, i was praying, asking for forgiveness and all.
wads most scary
is dat i live DIRECTLY on the foothills of Mt Faber.
They are having this countdown party too rite now.
and they played fireworks.
i tell you the fireworks sounded like bombs
explosions
end of the world!
at least for a second, it startled me.
thank god.
i went on to enjoy the fireworks
which really were amazing.
consider this for a view outside ur kitchen window.
a sight FULL of trees and nothing but trees, on a hill,
but colourful, sparkling and dazzling fireworks in the sky,
visible over the canopy.
not a sight u see evryday.
well im not an owner of a camera.
so none of the 5 mins of fireworks were filmed or captured.
i can FEEEL the energy.
the ppl on Mt Faber are screaming
the ppl at Vivo City are screaming
the ppl at Esplanade are screaming.
is this the end of the world?!?!
no!

Happy New Year la
Posted on 2:13 PMby Aziz with No comments
It isnt 2007 yet.
but its HARI RAYA HAJI!!
this is the day some may remember as the day
sheep/lamb/goat get slaughtered
in Mosques all over the world.
but there is a meaning to it!
and if u know it, u wont pity these animals, instead,
you'll be happy and satisfied.
Its like giving them a free ticket to Heaven.
anyway,
New Year,
new stuff,
new challenges,
new attitude,
and why not,
NEW BLOG SKIN!!
and URL too!!
sheep, lamb or goat, i still dunnoe..
i go ask my mother

Year 1 CCA Orientation for Uni. Groups
is just..
6 days away!!!!
and though we arent really well prepared,
i think we are SLIGHTLY
more prepared thn how we were for ROD.
one LAST MINUTE change
which wudnt have been last minute:
some sec 2 cadets will join sec 1 cadets in the Mock Attack.
im not against it.
it actually made the whole thing better.
i just pity them.
they practiced so hard for Footdrill,
just to land up in this situation.
there are a just a few things im worried about Display.
but i wont reveal those.
Future Year 1s! NCC is THE Uniformed Group CCA to be a part of! Being a GOLD Unit since 1993 and Best Unit 7 times, we are more than capable in grooming you into fine leaders. You will also gain friends who are true and sincere, and priceless memories of countless activtivies!

yeah!!
dat makes it four wins in a row!
after the win against Rahim.
CHECKERS
ze "Internet Checkers" found on the start button under GAMES.
They give you a random opponent from anywhere in the world.
U cant really chat, but they find u a player real fast.
and i just won my FOURTH opponent.
in a time span of 3 days.
the last one REALLY gave me a hard time.
im glad i found this seemingly new interest.
cuz i havnt really been using my brain these 2 months.
this wud be good warm up for upcoming
SCHOOL.

The One on Fire
Posted on 7:50 PMby Aziz with No comments
I was on fire.
Nope.
Not because of soccer, basketball, or some game.
or anything else u were thinking.
Logically speaking, i was on fire.
As in i was BUURning.
I do NOT know how the heck it happened.
But my hair caught fire.
I was playing checkers against Rahim.
Seems like a very safe activity rite?
Not if the ppl around u were playing with lighters
and leaving the gas on for some time.
I was packing up the checkers set.
Rahim lit a lighter near to me.
And wadye know.
My hair caught fire.
So i did wad ALL of you wud have done.
PANIC
U telling me u can relax when ur hair was burning away?
The only resort was to slap and beat my own head
with my bare hands.
Fortunately, yes. It Worked!
Its scary.
Its not like the fire was burning very slowly.
The second he lit the fire, was the moment my hair started
to burn.
And i cud feel it spreading real fast.
As if i bathed in gasoline this morning.
The only logical explanation:
The gas they left on from the lighter
somehow was circling around my hair.
So when a fire was lit,
it all ignited.
Well dats the closest guess.
I wudnt say it was funny.
Not saying it was really tragic too.
But people..

Love ACTUALLY!!
Posted on 12:50 PMby Aziz with No comments
Xmas
And i woke up rather late,
reason being,
I stayed up to watch Love Actually on TV last night.
I recall wanting to watch it in theaters a few years back.
But my friends and I watched Brother Bear instead.
Anyway i wudnt have understood the movie
if i had watched it back then.
Ytday was the perfect time to watch it.
Its like 6 -7 love stories mashed up into one comedic movie!
Loved it of course.
There was especially this scene.
Fortunately enough, there is YouTube
She was 11.
ELEVEN!
YES! FREAKIN ELEVEN!
And the boy there, was 13.
Meaning they are 16 and 14 respectively now.
Well after that performance, it led to this.
there the story of another guy in between.
Haha.
Happy Xmas to all of you!

YES! FREAKIN ELEVEN!
And the boy there, was 13.
Meaning they are 16 and 14 respectively now.
Well after that performance, it led to this.
there the story of another guy in between.
Haha.
Happy Xmas to all of you!

The One went to a wedding
Posted on 9:40 PMby Aziz with No comments
Aight, twez mua cuz weddin jez now.
Not a cousin im close to.
But my parents always told me he and his siblings took care of me
everyday when i was a baby.
For dat, im grateful and for the first time
i willingly, attended a wedding.
It was like the whole big family united there.
In the past,
extended families,
gramps, parents, uncles, aunts, children,
they all lived together in the same village. Kampongs.
So just now was like Kampong Tanjong Hirau united.
After being separated into HDB flats.
Much noise and hype was created.
Anyway its Christmas Eve.
Even though i dont really celebrate it, i enjoy it!
Aight, im keen to catch Love ACTUALLY now.
I'll leave u with this lovely Christmas Song
by Michael Buble.
Please, take your time to listen to the song.

The One with 3 borrowed DVDs
Posted on 9:59 PMby Aziz with No comments
Didnt borrow them today.
I think it was 3 days ago?
3 DVDs.
2 movies.
In response to Jiayi's constant blogging about how good Step Up is,
well, i borrowed it.
And now im not only crazy about the movie,
i'm crazy about the soundtrack.
I tried to keep up with the dance moves.
Couldnt make it.

One of the best movies ive watched this year.
People. Go rent or buy the DVD/VCD.
Ok, it may have a predictable storyline.
But the dance routines are savvy.
Also a movie fer all of mah Hip Hop peepz out there.
And the sparks dat fly between the 2 main characters make the
movie very romantic.
NOTE: The 2 are currently dating.
The other DVD that i borrowed is the X-MEN Trilogy.
Yep. A 3 in 1.
X Men, X Men United and X Men: The Last Stand.
Of course i only bothered to watch the third
cuz its the best out of the 3.
Also because of Ellen Page!
Kitty Pride i mean, aka Shadowcat.
Yep, i remember giving great comments on the movie the first time i watched it.
Still good the second time.
Just wished they put more screentime on Colossus.
He's the big guy who can cover himself with some sort of metal.

cool huh.
Of course, i mentioned i borrowed 3 DVDs.
The last one is more of a set.
Season One of PRISON BREAK!
Woo!
Now i dun have to wait for Channel 5.
Season 2 began in America, back in August.
Ppl who follow the series,
trust me, it gets better and better.
Like wad Lincoln Burrows always say,
U GOTTA HAVE SOME FAITH

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES.
In no situation is A-z gonna put aside FOOTBALL

The tired One
Posted on 8:53 PMby Aziz with No comments
Rarr..
So tired..
Full day training 9am to 4.30pm.
Its true wad they say.
As a cadet recieveing orders, you always feel like ur being pushed around. and you dont like it.
You cant wait to become an NCO.
But when u are and NCO.
So many fears start to grow in you.
What if i dont give the cadet enough welfare?
What if i give too much and they climb over my head?
What do i do then?
Will this activity work? Will it be fun?
What do i do now/next?
There is so much preparation to be done.
And things dont always go your way.
In other words,
you wont really like it as an NCO too.
Its really a harder life.
But on top of it all, if you look at the positive side,
you learn new things almost everytime u do a mistake.
You will improvise on what you did,
or even come up with something new.
You know people better,
and people know you.
Im actually happy with the current situation.
They have learnt certain new things
and have improved alot.
But i still keep on seeing less than 15 coming for training.
Just wonder when that will change..

Happy Birthday to my MOM!!!
yesterday
To tell you the truth i really dont know wads her age.
its gotta be 59 i think..
Well, we dont really celebrate birthdays.
Just ordered pizza for dinner
and breakfast today.
And what a dumb feeling to wake up with
when you know theres a full day training ahead.
And that Man Utd lost to a struggling West Ham.
1 - 0

Omg. is Alan Curbishley that good?
Its gotta be luck, im telling ya.
And the freaking Blues (Chelsea) got lucky too.
They cud have drawn with Everton.
But Drogba just had to score in the 87th minute.
But fret not, Man U is still 2 points ahead.
And theres still half a season to go.
The battle is far from

The One making appearance on Channel 8?
Posted on 11:30 AMby Aziz with No comments
Yes!
The fan is nt working again!
And fortunately theres an extra fan!
Wez walkin home from skool,
very near my block, at the foothills of Mt Faber,
a group of ppl surrounded a few other ppl
who really looked as if they were fighting.
Yes, they were.
They were shooting.
No. Not shooting bullets.
But shooting for a series/film.
I think its the same crew as the one shooting in GESS too.
Cuz earlier in school i saw the crew setting off to sumwhere.
And perhaps its common sense for them to go sumwhere near?
so i ASSUME its the same crew.
So. It crossed my mind.
Should I be an extra and walk past (behind) the actors filming?
Hehehe
Nah.. Wad diff will it make in my life.
Anyway i'm happy with my 0.5 second appearance in
HOLLAND V

The One who played Sweeper
Posted on 7:04 PMby Aziz with No comments
Ok. I didnt jog.
I walked to Hill Lock to see whether there were anybody kicking around there.
I saw one or 2.
I sat down.
Alot more came.
And wadye know.
I found a new group of ppl to play soccer with.
Alot of familiar faces actually.
And so my first game.
I went straight to attack.
wtf.
I missed in front of goal 5 times.
Ppl were like saying, "Ah. He's no big deal"
i could see it in their faces.
damnit.
u know how dat feels?
to come and play with a fresh new group of ppl
to miss 5 times the first time they see you play
and to know dat they were looking down on you
fine.
i play Sweeper.
then they began to wonder, "Who is this guy?"
exaggeration.
basically, i played better controlling things from behind.
Last man, as many ppl know it.
The ball comes anywhere near the goalpost,
dats where i'll go.
Get the ball, and start a counter attack.
Of course with my superb vision,
most of my counter attacks resulted in goals.
I made many assists.
Sweepers dont really do that.
They just get the ball and whack the ball up.
They play safe.
But being something else is fun isnt it.
So i played something like a point guard in basketball.
A playmaker from behind.
And dat was when my game started to improve.
Ok then. I'll try and play more of the
SWEEPER

The One from Hillary 4 - 8 Dec 2006.
Posted on 10:54 AMby Aziz with No comments
My greatest regret in this OBS course
is not to borrow a freaking camera and bring it along to take pics.
Now, im gonna post this boring post which has no pics.
Oh well, i wont make this so long.
U guys dont have to see completely wad ppl do in OBS anyway.
U can only know wad OBS is about once u have experienced it.
So it was 5 days in which we went "back to basics"
Yeah. The life without the comfort we have at home.
And obviously, the point was to widen ur comfort zone,
to be able to work with anyone, in any situation.
To embark on an Outward Bound journey.
The 100+ of us were separated into watches(groups)
Me and Guo Sheng were feeling sian and all cuz he was in Armstrong
and i was in Hillary.
But we both soon adapted to our new surroundings and friends.
And of course, we had a great deal of fun.
We were quite lucky too.
Armstrong and Hillary did ALL their activities
at the same time, all the time.
On the 4th day, we were officially called Buddy Watches,
embarking on the Sea Expedition together, as
a self proclaimed Armillary/Hillstrong etc.
These 2 watches combined = fun, love, peace and joy man!
So not only did i have friends from Hillary, but Armstrong too.
Btw, Sea Expedition was a kayaling expedition whereby
we rode double kayaks and paddled a cross-island (Ubin)
We woke up as early as 5.30am to get ready and all.
We set off at around 7.30 i suppose.
According to the planning, we were expected to reach our destination at 2pm.
We reached at 12.30pm
Because Armstrong and Hillary just click!
All the jokes we had during the expedition cancelled out the pain
and strain on our arms.
Not to mention sea-ex was a day after land-ex in which we trekked
through perhaps, half of Pulau Ubin.
Hillary was probably the smallest watch at the end of the course.
16 of us in the start.
Suhailah left due to her not feeling well.
Thn on the last night, Sabi, Wilson Lim, Wilson Soh, Sam and Chang Yi (sorry if wrong spelling) left cuz their skool had
an expedition in Australia a day later.
Good Luck on that guys!
Suhailah brought forward an important note before she left.
To have a strong mentality throughout the camp.
No doubt, i perservered through it cuz of ur words. Thnx!
Chang Yi. You are one of those who worked hardest. Not to mention u are a nice guy too. Although Sabi says u are gay. Haha
Sabi. You truly have the Nepalese Gurkha blood in you. I was touched by your ability to endure the whole land-ex, carrying a full back pack, 2 tents, and 2 camping sticks of filled bottles.
You were most helpful, and as a medic, you always looked out for others.
Wilson Lim. A funny character who loves to play jokes and pranks on others and to lighten us up when we felt frustrated. They missed you most when u guys left.
Wilson Soh. You seem so quiet all the time. But inside you is a hardworker. You helped alot with the stores and all, and i appreciate it.
Sam. Congrats, sea-ex IC for the successful sea-ex. HAHA
Zed. You rocker. Ur probably jamming now. Have fun. And are u in contact with Tina? hehehe
Sutina. Go and have a great time with ur family! Dont forget the dedication u made!
Seri. Thnx for supporting me in my battle against the mosquitoes!
Azura. Dun give up so easily! The Helium Pole just needed more time!
Winston the Monk. Waterproof Monk! Thnx for blessing us with good weather in sea-ex. And for controlling the waves. The comic relief throughout the course, for both Hillary and Armstrong. And dun so blur anymore leh!
Keith. Stop your "susu panas" la! Once funny twice lame! Haha. You also remember ur commitment to OBS hor. Dun talk cock only!
Ding Ren. Thnx for excusing me from tent pitching all the time. haha. i really suck in it.
Stanley. Thnx for all the Insect Repellent u provided me all the time. The shoe spray too. And ur commitment to OBS. To stop using Maphack in DotA!!
Louis. Mr. Cool la. Always cool with the situation. So relaxed wan you. Thnx for leading us thru land ex.
And how can i forget
our instructor.
JONATHAN!
You are so inspirational! All the stories u shared. There is not a single one that i will forget! U made us change our attitude in just 5 days. What a work!
Though i know we are not the best Watch that u have taken, i hope u had fun like how I did.
Now i have to put OBS behind and start on homework liao.
Really does make me feel like going back to Ubin.
haha.

The One who is feeling sorry and all
Posted on 8:30 PMby Aziz with No comments
damn.
Well earlier in the afternoon,
Muneer accompanied me to Queensway to get a new pair of shoes.
Obviously, i didnt have a clue on which to buy.
And my bargaining sux.
He recommended me this pair of Lotto shoes,
which was really hot on sales.
He claimed he had wanted it for a long time
and dat he would return at night, to buy it.
I bought it.
and well,
we both came back at night.
I came to exchange my size 6.5 to a size 7.
Unfortunately, they could only find a size 7.5,
and it was the last one.
Muneer just had to arrive 5 mins after me
to realize the fact that,
he wouldnt be able to buy the shoes dat he longed for.
My mind, as usual, in stressful times(even in the slightest of stress),
went blank.
I just well, waved, said sorry, and went out of the shop.
I was gonna exit Queensway until i decided to return to find him.
It wasnt dat hard.
I told him dat i could sell my current Lotto to him.
And i, on the other hand, would go on a journey to find a new pair.
Well, he rejected.
Of course he rejected.
What was i thinking.
If i were give the same offer, i would definitely choose to be
Mr. dun worry im fine
and reject the offer.
Accepting it would be make me feel so thick skinned.
If i wanted to change things,
i wud need to borrow a time machine from sumwhere else.
But dat wud be troublesome
cuz have ta report for OBS tmr.
Great
Now im going to OBS without a clear mind.
RARRR!~

The One who is getting all enthu for OBS
Posted on 8:38 PMby Aziz with No comments
OBS Singapore
4 - 8 December
And only today, i got the news dat my application was accepted.
Thank you OBS.
At least 20 bucks for medical checkup
didnt go to waste.
My application status was left dangling
cuz me and Guo Sheng handed in the forms a few days late.
so today, 6 days from the camp,
we realize dat we were accepted.
this is OBS NCC.
i dont know whether there will be any differences.
but Anis (sec 3 camp trainer) mentioned there was.
the training regime begins
PT in the morning.
tomorrow i shall run a full 2.4km
actually, after i was left waiting for my application status, i lost interest in it.
so yeah, i WAS beginning to think of withdrawing.
but
A ship in harbour is safe,
but that is not what ships are built for.

The One with the new CPU
Posted on 8:11 PMby Aziz with No comments
i got a new CPU on Saturday, 25th.
so why wait until Monday, 27th to post?
obvious isnt it?
theres a hell lot of things to download.
all those plug ins and codecs.
and of course started playing CS and DotA again
Mega Kill Rikimaru
Unstoppable Luna
A good computer does make a difference.
i really need to thank 2 ppl, Marcus and Seroyen.
Pre-dominantly, Seroyen.
Check this out
He surfed through the internet, to get the prices of several CPU parts on sale on Sim Lim,
listed all the options down for me to choose according to my own likings,
accompanied me to Sim Lim Square,
got ALL the parts for me, one by one,
even getting better parts for cheaper prices.
there was lots to buy.
the motherboard,
processor,
RAM,
Graphics Card,
Casing,
and maybe theres more.
He then went on to manually assemble all the parts together.
All by himself.
ok, with me and Marcus doing a lil bit of sai kang.
After the whole CPU set is actually functional,
he installed Windows XP, without having brought with him the CD Key, by retrieving the CD key in a much harder but legal way.
He customized all the settings
and there u have it.
A brand new Computer.
Pentium D,
Dual Channel,
512 MB RAM
80 GB Hard Disk Space,
and much more
$750.
Seroyen,
YOU HAVE A FUTURE

The One who shot 3 with 4
Posted on 5:34 PMby Aziz with No comments
Sorry guys!
No 1st in Singapore wadever shit.
Top 8 in Falling Targets
and SHOULD be Top 10 - 15 in Overall Score.
perhaps this is the best score in maybe 3 to 4 years for GESS.
Yeah, maybe GESS NCC has lost its touch.
But we certainly havent lost the drive.
Thing is, im not as disappointed as how Benny, Luqman and Kai Yuan are.
People who aim high, when they get low results, they suffer a great fall.
Whereas a person like me aims LOW
So that if i get LOW results, i wont be disppointed at all.
Yet
When i get GOOD results, it feels sensational to be above traget!
Well, just my way of thinking.
But im not only, NOT disppointed, i am also happy and satisfied.
I had a good Zeroing round
and with 4 bullets, i hit down 3 targets
compared to
6 bullets, 1 target of Tuesday.
Because of Tuesday's bad performance,
i knew today was the chance to see whether im really worth a marksman badge.
Yep. That 10/10 score i earned LOONG ago was not by luck.
Its just too bad we had to go against Bukit Panjang Govt High
in the first round.
They went on to be Falling Targets champions.
First hour of the day we were overjoyed.
We were about to get a walk through to Semi Finals
cuz Bukit Panjang came late.
DAMN LATE!
in fact, they should be disqualified!
but well, it is meant to be.
they came, they saw, they pawned.. ..us.
Made alot of friends anyway.
And at least we got honoured for making it into top 8

The One with Exessive Gas in Stomach
Posted on 9:28 PMby Aziz with No comments
K. Currently suffering from excessive gas in stomach.
It hurts pretty bad,
in addition to the irritation in which it makes u feel like passing motion,
but when u try to, its like constipation.
anyway. tmr is the finals for shooting.
A-z is a realistic person.
Winning 1st prize means
going against the toughest of all odds.
Its gonna be hard.
and with this pain im recieving, it'll be harder.
But i always do my best.
However if im really off target, thn my deepest apologies guys.
ONWARD!

A True Underdog Story
Posted on 9:48 PMby Aziz with No comments
Setiawan, Singapore's 3rd Best Shooter, in Indonesia,
We had no reserves,
And i left home with a terrible terrible stomach ache.
Didnt seem like a good day for NCC Shooting Competition.
Seriously, we wasted alot of time.
Reached Nee Soon Camp at 8am.
Waited and waited and waited until 11.30, it was our turn to shoot.
And then 12pm ALL THE WAY to 6pm we waited to find out our results.
We actually wanted to go home.
Perhaps god was testing us?
But we waited, somehow, we were ranked 2nd overall in points.
And yet we had to wait til 7pm until the Central Finals began.
It was a team-based game.
Falling Targets.
4 shooters,
12 targets,
24 rounds,
6 rounds each.
Shoot down all targets as fast as possible with the number of bullets you have.
7pm
I tell you i cudnt see a single target.
Ok maybe i could.
But once i aimed for too long
it seemed to disappear from my vision.
Well, i had 6 rounds,
i onli hit 1 target.
Pathetic, but Luqman, Benny and Kai Yuan covered up for me.
We had onli one target left standing,
and the opponent, Yuying Sec, had 4.
But the real test is on Thursday,
as we pit against the best of East and West districts.
I, who have pulled the team's score down, shall use tomorrow
as a day to find the way of shooting and master it.
Something like dat.
Well, there u have it.
Sometimes all u need is just some pride and faith.
It was because we endured through that long wait, with GESS in mind.
Central District top scorers.
NOBODY EXPECTED IT

The One who missed the Transvestite
Posted on 2:22 PMby Aziz with No comments
NOTE
i didnt include our encounter with the transvestites in Changi because of ONE reason.
I cycled passed him/her without noticing the boobs.
AT ALL.
And theres a reason why its called the A-z Top 5.
But to share with those who werent present,
Yeah,
we cycled past a transvestite who showed off his/her

The One who went to 3G Chalet
Posted on 6:38 PMby Aziz with No comments
Alrite
Lets go thru it!
A-z's list of top 5 moments in 3G Chalet.
number 5
The Missing Key
Yea. 16 of us were renting bikes for night cycle.
and a few got themselves a lock and key so that we can park at Changi Village and eat supper.
5 dollars per missing key, additional 5 dollars per missing lock.
Sebastian: I lost the key.
So while i was busy playing Marvel vs Capcom
so many of them searched thru the chalet for the key.
They sailed the toilet bowls,
they dug thru the rubbish bin,
they wrestled through bed sheets.
And when all hope seems lost, the next morning, Sebas found it in his wallet.
Anti climax, but still a great moment.
number 4
"Shu Anne kena langgar by car!!"
Ok. So we were night cyling, and we were on our way back.
the 16 was separated into 2.
The front ones cycled a lil too fast.
I was in front.
So when we reached a bus stop to wait for them, we realized dat they were taking an awful long time.
So me and Chi Jie volunteered to back track and find them.
Of course, he was outclassed by my speed. jk
it was a tough ride, going against gravity.
I was confident they were at the bus stop before us.
But they werent there. Same case for the next bus stop
So i was getting a lil worried.
When i finally saw Jervis, the one in red.
Well, they were stuck there, Jiayi's bicycle chain went out of position and Shu Anne fell down.
Knowing that they were safe, i sped back to where the front group was, shouting, "Shu Anne kena langgar by car!"
Sufi, Eugene, Sebas, Yong Li and others were like, "HUH!??!?!"
Priceless.
Sorry Shu Anne!
number 3
Yong Li falling down 6 times in morning cycle.
Sometime in the morning, 5am - 6am,
a few of us wanted to cycle more.
Joshua just learnt how to cycle
and Danny missed out earlier.
So it sounded like a good idea.
It was an 8 man trip.
With Yong Li falling down at least 5 times, overcycling into the grass and going down the wrong steps.
Comic relief.
number 2
Para Para Blackout.
We went to the arcade on 2nd day afternoon.
I didnt play anything there.
Arcade is evil.
EVILLL i tell you.
So Puay Leng wanted to play the dance dance game thingy.
Enthu liao.
Ready to bring out all the moves.
GAME START!
3 seconds later
*Blackout*
GAME OVER..
Anti climax, but hilarious to thhhflemax.
numero UNO!
Horror movie!
Shud be around midnight.
A horror movie was showing on Channel 8/U.
Most of us were cramped in one chalet watching the movie.
There was an intimate kissing scene sumwhere in the middle.
Apparently, Yong Li pictured the scene the wrong way and actually tot it was scary. He gave a sudden jerk.
Mun Wah's countless failed attemps to scare ppl,
Tiffany and Jia Yan's (and mine) shrieking,
Jervis's constant looking down on every frightening scene,
This moment is my choice of best moment in 3G Chalet!

Sentosa - Pasir Ris
Posted on 12:37 PMby Aziz with No comments
Last minute blogging b4 i leave for 3G chalet.
NCC outing to Sentosa was yesterday
and though it was mainly last min pplanning,
we had a hell of a good time.
it was a 12 dollar package trip.
We were thn discounted to a price of 8 dollars per ticket.
3 places
Fort Siloso
Cinemania
Carslberg Sky Tower
Fort Siloso - well, essential for NCC cadets to learn about all the wartime history in WW2. Bought this cute lil keychain from the souvenir store.
Cinemania - my first time. Probably the main attraction of the trip.
3 rides, the first one was super thrilling. 2nd one was rough. 3rd one was fast.
Sky Tower - one of the newer attractions of Sentosa. True enuff, had a GOOD view of Sentosa and the islands beyond. And a lil peak at Singapore Skyline. Haze still around though.
and yeah. after dat, some swimming at Siloso Beach. Thn Seah Im food centre for Black Pepper Chicken Rice + Bandung.
now for 3G chalet
meeting the peepz at 1.30, Tiong Mac.
hope this chalet exceeds all expectations

The One who came late
Posted on 8:26 PMby Aziz with No comments
Yea. So i came late fer E.Maths.
Reason being oversleeping.
Well, not really.
I was doing some Bleach stuff.
My very first Animation Music Video (AMV)
on Zaraki Kenpachi.
And so i tot i wud the the latest to arrive.
When Sufi appeared 5 mins after me with semi purple hair.
Fashionably late huh.
Well, not long after i got home.
There was a fcuking loud knock on my door.
Apparently, they tot my whole family was deaf.
Either that, or they were really angry people.
Turned out to be 2 kids.
Visting for "Hari Raya"
My father opened the door, said no, and closed it.
I heard a soft,"Cannot come in nvrm. Collection onli"
That being said in Malay
and Collection meaning coming to houses for green packets.
How rude.
Even as a small kid.
I NEVER imagined myself going around,
knocking on the doors of who knows who
saying that its Hari Raya season
and indirectly saying
"Fool, i want some money"
This kid made it direct.
He SAID he was on collection.
They werent even in hari raya clothes.
Singlets and black jersey?
Sweating like who knows wad?
Asking for money?
WHAT THE HELL?
