than O lvls Practicals which is only next week.

reasons to anticipate it

- 2D is probably the best class i've ever been in.
might not be true for the rest,
but i guess in this case,
its my thought that counts.

- even though like more than half of 2D is in 4G now,
and i see them almost everyday,
cant say i really miss them u know,
but its more of like i miss us as a whole.
Everyone can relate to one another, regardless.

- because the previous chalets were damn fun.
all the inside jokes and all. cycling too.
lets take night cycling to a
whole new level this year. (this might be a major
turn-off for non cyclists, for that i'm sorry)

- dats all i guess. if there were other reasons,
it'd be ones that i don't know how to put to words.

Well, for now, 2D'05 chalet is
nothing more than a rumor and wishful thinking.

Exams and cravings

With fasting comes hunger,
with hunger comes cravings.
And as i try to slowly enjoy the Durian Puffs that i bought earlier,
unfortunately, i cannot change the fact that
$2.50 worth of Durian Puffs can be finished in a mere 3 mins or so.

I felt this urgent need to eat Durian Puffs
when i walked past the confectionery store a few days ago.
and today i got a packet of em.
its seriously so nice ;_;

Today we took Bio 1 and 2.
not the easiest of all papers.

Paper 1 was the type of paper in which the MCQ choices
were close to each other
and sometimes u gotta take a few mins or so to actually debate
with yourself, which answer is truly correct.

This is different from Mock Exams Paper 1.
For that one, you either knew the answer, or you didnt at all.
This one makes u think alot.
And it gives that shitty feeling that you actually know how to answer it,
yet there are 2 options which are equally convincing,
and if you pick the wrong one,
you dun get the marks.
Thn when u check ur papers,
you'll be going "Ahh! I wanted to put this answer!"
It'd be too late of course.

As for Paper 2, i have nothing to say.
20 mins into the paper i took a short break
by putting my head down,
only to be woken up 15 mins later by Mdm Phua,
who gave me the inspiration to bullshit through the whole paper.
I cant believe i actually thought that Paper 2 would save me.
As idiotic as it would sound, there was not a single question in that paper
that i knew how to answer perfectly.

Reason for this, i expected the questions to be more on
Reproduction in animals and plants.
Thn again, im only making excuses for myself.

Its the Prelims and i'm still not taking this seriously.
dun ask me why.

they suddenly announced that Bio paper 2 would be postponed

2pm to 5pm = 3 hours of revision

E.Math Tuition
6pm to 7.30pm = 1 and a half hours of practicing

7.30am to 7.30pm, studying.
12 HOURS

well, not exactly 12 hours.
half an hour of recess,
half an hour break before study programme,
1 hour break before tuition.
so, minus 2 hours of break,

10 HOURS OF STUDYING.

well, not exactly 10 hours.
since half of E.Math was taken away by Mr Lim Choon Beng's
talk in the morn,
slept away during English,

but from thn onwards, i was attentive.

luckily had the chance to watch Jackass 2
for some stress relief before study programme.

we were LMAOing away.

the amount of paper wasted in a year
must be in the form of millions of wadever unit they use
to measure it.
we all know how much notes and worksheets are given to us
everyday.
when u add them all up after a few weeks,
u have quite a fair amount.

and dat is what one person has accumulated.
imagine that much amount of paper work per person
in a month,
multiplied by the thousand or so, the amount of students
in a school.
and that is just the total amount of paper used
per school, per month.

multiply by the number of secondary schools or JCs
or even primary schools.

thn multiply by the number of schooling months.

this enormous amount of paper being used
by such a small country in Southeast Asia.

is there no alternative?
computers?
if every student uses it everyday for half a day,
it wud cost a great sum of money
and usage of our precious depleting energy supplies.

makes me feel that whatever we do,
this world is doomed for sure.
sooner or later.
is technology to blame?

Death Note

The story of Death Note.

Most have seen the movie.

Light Yagami finds a notebook.
Anybody's name who is written on the book will die as written by the owner.
Light Yagami gains the ambition to turn the world
into a Utopia,
whereby criminals are punished with death at once.
Light Yagami wants to clean the world of all evil,
as "Kira"

The Japanese Police disallowed such measures.
Of course, not of ability to solve the mystery of who Kira is,
they acquire the help of the best detective in the world,
only knowned as,

L

L leads a special task group who volunteers
to solve the Kira case at the cost of their lives.
L begins to suspect that Chief of Police, Souichiro Yagami's son,
Light Yagami,
is Kira.
However, L is also impressed by Light's reasoning skills and invites him
into the squad.
He also plans to dig deeper into the motives of Light Yagami.

Although L cannot shake the conclusion that Light was Kira, Light is the only person L had ever identified or connected with (him being L's "first ever friend"), and he openly stated on one occasion that even though it would hurt his pride to admit that he has been wrong, he hopes that he would be.

Light Yagami takes advantage of this and in a turn of events,
defeats L, as his name is written in the Death Note,
by the Death God, Rem.

In any case, this is how it looked like in the Anime

L feels the impulse of a heart attack.


L collapses and falls off his chair.


Light watches in disbelief as L dies.
The fight is finally over and won.

WHOOO!
WAD A DAY!
Cross Country had never been so exciting and beneficial to me.
Probably because i decided to do NCC duty in
all 3 of my previous years in GESS.

this years x country does not deserve to be called a x country
i think a x country race shud be 4.8km or more.
this one was like erm.. 3.6?
it only deserves to be called a Road Run
which explains why i felt it was too easy.
it still left me out of breath though.
due to the heck of a pointless sprint i needed
to get past 2 guys near the end.
i dunno why i did it.
i knew i couldnt win anything anyway.
but i at least wanted to run for the class.
so yeah.

funny thing was.
i probably sprinted so much, i was feeling kinda crazy.
and when i approached the finishing line,
i felt as if the whole world was cheering for me.

up til now, i dont know whether it was my imagination.
never really knew my position.

a year ago, during the x country,

naturally, we keep on thinking that the next movie would be even better than the previous one. also because the previous one leaves u dying to watch the next one.

i seriously think At World's End isnt as disappointing as many dismiss it to be.
its plot got even bigger, (worldwide pirate gathering)
the settings were twice as breathtaking, (maelstorm, end of the earth)
the soundtrack is pure win (HOIST THE COLOURS HIGH!!!)
everything is taken into greater heights
and the movie is made even more dynamic.
its storyline was just a little bit too fast to follow

i made a decision a very long time ago that
Order of the Phoenix would be a must watch.
even so, i had to take extra precaution so dat i wud fulfill this vow.
firstly, because i did the same to Fantastic 4, but skipped it.
secondly, lots of ppl said it was disappointing

so i just had to watch it today.
and i certainly found it enjoyable.
but on a sidenote, Goblet Of Fire was much more entertaining
due to the Triwizard Tournament.

Order of the Phoenix was amazing due to
Dumbledore's Army
The Order
and the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.

SPOILER ALERT
actually, it doesnt make a difference cuz u all know wad happened in the book

a battle whereby
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and Luna hold their own
against Death Eaters

The Order of the Phoenix dramatically appears to save them,

and Harry loses his one and only surviving kin,
Sirius Black.
of course, not considering The DURSLEYS as relatives.

we also get to see
Dumbledore show that he is boss
by protecting Harry against the revived Voldermort.

i quote a phrase from the movie, when Dumbledore
fashionably disappears and escapes from Ministers of Magic
with the help of Fawkes, his phoenix.

"You know, as much as you dislike Dumbledore, you gotta admit.
He's got STYLEEE...."

Oh yeah. wad is it with ppl criticizing the movie just because it left out certain parts from the book?
Book 5 has gotta be the thickest book of the series so far.
u dun wanna squeeze everything inside and make it as overly fast paced
as Pirates rite?

besides, the writers and directors know best.
they probably made changes for the better.

there is only one thing that i feel, shouldnt have been left out.

those that concern Neville Longbottom.

it is not shown that it is in fact, Neville,
who was the only person left standing and able to fight by Harry's side,
after the 6 Hogwarts students were attacked by Death Eaters.

This would have underlined that Neville had been working very hard
with his Defence against Dark Arts skills, and his strong desire
to avenge his parents, by killing Bellatrix Lestrange.

It is also not shown, Dumbledore's conversation with Harry,
on the prophecy that he released.

"The one to be the Dark Lord's match is to be borned
as the seventh month dies"

Neville was borned one day earlier thn Harry.
But the fact that Voldermort attacked the Potters,
made Harry the chosen one.
Neville remains the dull, might-have-been.

for some reason i think Neville, along with Ginny, will
have a big big part to play in Deathly Hallows.
Neville and Bellatrix,
and Ginny cuz she will get too close to Harry.
