Kuda Kepang

woo! had fun today! (night)
well not long ago i heard one of my uncle opened up
a restaurant or some sort.
so like almost one month later, (present day)
we decided to go eat at his place.
wishful thinking

well, somehow i saw this coming.
u know it isnt dat easy opening up a business.
so before we pay my uncle a visit, it doesnt kill to at least
give him a call to ask if its open today, or is
it still existing rite?
my mom thought otherwise, confident in the words
of her younger brother.
well, my OTHER uncle was bringing us there by car.
so i wasnt complaining.

i dont ride cars often okay.
and i rarely eat out for dinner.

so the place is called Riazz Relak (relax) Corner.
haha.
before we reached, my uncle gave his son a call
cuz he alr reached the supposed destination.

"I see Riazz Relak Corner, but i dun see anybody relaxing"
yea so i knew wad was gonna happen.
we reached.
everything was closed and locked with all the equipment outside.
"FOR RENT"
anti climax, i know.

well the good thing was, my uncle knew another restaurant nearby
so we went there.
a hundred times better.
air con, School Of Rock on Channel 5,
and a wide variety of food, from Indian to Malay to Western.

my food came last.
cuz Black Pepper Chicken Rice was not available
so i changed to Mee Goreng,
which was rather unique and delicious.
i think they added cheese or sth..

so dat was for dinner
here comes the interesting part.
sadly i have no camera of some sort to snap some pics.
but even if i had one, maybe id be too afraid to do so.
ok so i wasnt dat afraid, just cautious

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wad was going on was dat at Kampong Melayu
(Malay Village, its a heritage centre)
there was this Kuda Kepang show going on.
soo many ppl were watching it cuz events like this
are very rare nowadays.
Kuda Kepang groups were often invited to weddings to perform.
but not so frequently now.

why?
because it requires the use of
(i dunno wad it is but i wont call it "dark arts")
unknown methods
to make performers enter a trance
and from there onwards, you'll never know wad they'll do.

NOTE: my dad says dat they are not being possesed, rather entering a very empty state of mind whereby they take on the persona of ancient Javanese warriors. In other words, in dat moment of trance, they are SOMETHING else.

so it all begins with a simple line dance of some sort.
in a row, 4 men on one side, 4 women on the other.
they pretend as if they are riding horses,
made of nothing more thn cardboard,
but decorated with bells, ribbons and lots more.
they dance to slow and repeating tempo

which continues to repeat,
constantly increasing and decreasing its beat,
throughout the whole 30 mins or so.

when the women start to exit the arena,
there is a feeling among the crowd that the REAL show was about to begin.

slowly, the 4 men entered their trances.
they were made to sniff some incense.
it kicked off with one of them suddenly going berserk,
kicking one of his mates, and jumping over him.

throughout the whole 20mins or so,
u just marvel at the random things dat they will do.
u have the choice of looking at either one of the 4.
it was as if u were at the zoo.
u just stand outside the cage, and look at the animals
and try to spot which one was the most exciting to watch
which one was outstanding.
in this case, it was like watching horses.

one guy stood out.
he was very popular with the crowd
he stared at the kids with eyes opened wide,
knocked his head on poles,
knocked his forehead on shattered glass pieces on the ground,
stepped on it,
jumped over a row of three chairs,
spit water at one of the "guards"
even bite off a portion of a glass bowl
and many many more
wads amazing was dat they do not sustain injuries
not even a stain of blood.

the other 3 chose to be more gentle.
and settle with dancing,
spinning,
running around.

they were treated like real horses.
whenever they were thirsty, they went to this guy
who would just take out and give them a pail of water.
they would then put their heads inside it and drink
as if they've not seen water for days.

whenever they got mischievious and threatened the crowd,
or almost go out of control,
the "guards" would stare at them.
they would just stare back just like how an angry animal would.
there were 2 ppl who went around carrying whips.
whenever they felt like it,
they whipped the "horses"
not lightly, but with full force.
but the "horses" showed no signs of pain
im telling you, those were real whips
and the sound of the slashes were proof that the guards
showed no mercy in whipping them.

so when the time is right,
one by one,
the guards take them down.

3 ppl would take on one "horse"
tackle him down just like an animal,
hold him on the ground,
unequip his cardboard horse,
put it over him,
and whip the cardboard three times.
occasionally, additional methods were used
cuz one or 2 of them were just too
immersed in their trance.

when it ended,
it received a very well deserved round of applause.
i, one who has never seen such a performance b4,
was totally amazed.
it was indeed SUPERNATURAL
my mom further explained dat in the olden days,
Kuda Kepang performances were even more extreme
an example would be "horses" jumping at extraordinary heights.
and much more.

well im happy to have experienced it at least once.
i was told dat i was lucky
as the performance today was more interesting
thn the ones on previous days.

to enter a state of trance
and ignore the limitations of the body.
sounds cool enough.
but they say it requires
alot of discipline to train both the body and the mind
to sustain such a state.

however when mastered,
a performance like dat,
can go on for hours, maybe even until morning,
if the "guards" dont stop them.

MT O Lvl

If i dont score for this MT O lvl paper,
it wud be sooo...

..
wasted.

rarely you see a paper whereby
u know the meanings of all 3 words given for
"create a sentence" section.

and i think i got the peribahasa right la.
the rest should be QUITE okay.

but Paper 1.
what a pity.
i couldnt concentrate.
but in the end, came up with a story which i think
should be fair rated.
i DID include an idiom.

but my dialogue totally sucks.
i know it.
i just didnt wanna do formal letter
cuz it would be even worse.

now must depend on L.compre and oral exam.
1 or 2 more months?

Saturday, May 26, 2007

woke up with such a great feeling
even though slept at 2am in the morn

i dont feel that anything's holding me back anymore.
finally i'll be able to study.

June Holidays!!

well main highlight of today was
JC visit.

they didnt announce bus 6 was leaving early.
i was lucky enuff to catch it.
only in the bus i found out that
we were heading to Tampines JC.

campus is big
huge population of students.
lots of student initiated stuff.
auditoriums
tennis courts,
a JC indeed

i got a fair share of ppl staring at me
saying things like
"omg so short"
yea yea i know

but the thing is
every1 there seems friendly.

the most interesting part was
having dat Kim girl from Kids Central
as our guide around the school.

yea. quite a surprise.

the tour was real good and all.
gave me a good understanding of life in JC

but still, i dont know where to go.

anyway. MT O lvl paper is on MONDAY
its almost unreal!

Tough Luck

Yesterday,
Sustaining Development chapter for SS
got cancelled.

Today,
Business & Logistics got cancelled.
alrite i get it already.
so stop kay?
plzz.
whoever's playing this prank on me.

talk about luck,
currently watching Deal or No Deal.
today's contestant is kinda.. erm.. eccentric.
haha. perfect personality to a game show though.

banker has offered him $22,000
considering the odds,
i'd advise him to take it.

but still, he still got that fair chance of
getting $250,000.
so i'll leave it to him.

anyway i enjoyed watching Freedom Writers just now.

Business and Logistics

If you want something u gotta go for it.
something i learnt from Sufi.
u cant go somewhere just cuz ur friends are there.

Though i couldnt get into the Accountancy career talks,
i managed to get out of Entrepreneur
and into Business & Logistics.
which is closer to the management kind of stuff,
dat im eyeing.

yea yea
wads an idiot like me doing aiming for
an 11 point course.
well i still care to believe dat i'll make it

^^
i really hope so.

anyway,
something must be against me
ok its my fault for only studying ONE chapter of SS.
but still.
i was pretty sure this chapter would come out.
and if it did, id be the luckiest guy in skool

i was the luckiest guy in skool.
only for the first few mins.

"Cancel the question 3 on your paper
and replace it with the new question 3 provided"

Original Question 3: Sustaining Development
Sustaining Development: chapter i studied

so much for luck.

LDC 2007

well as i type this entry,
the Part Cs (Sec 3 NCC) are going through what seems
to be the most important camp in their NCC years.

Leadership Development Course.
its a yearly kind of camp
for Part C Cadets who are by now,
well on their way to becoming NCOs.

its kinda weird.
but i dont feel as if there was a 1 year gap
between my batch's course, and theirs.
I wont exaggerate by saying dat it felt as if it was only yesterday.
lets just keep things simple and say; time flies.

LDC, is only a 3 day 2 night camp,
compared to the MUCH longer Annual Camp in March.
(its just 1 day longer but what you do in AC is much more physically and mentally tiring compared to LDC)
But in LDC, you are always under pressure.
Your future appointment is at stake.
Your individual performance determines the future you will have in NCC.
Whether you will become one of the big guns, or simply not.

For some, this means everything.
And for sure, i see a bunch of such people in the current Part C.
I've been second in charge of them for the year.
And i dont have much time left.
I regret i have not put enough effort into shaping
this group of ppl into the versatile leaders
i visioned during my pre-NCO life.
What a pity.

But thinking again, the deciding factor is not me.
Neither is it the officers or the old boys.
Its them.

Who will rise up to the occasion?
Who will crumble in the face of adversity?
Who will put himself before others?
Who has the ability to solve problems on his feet?
Who has the commanding influence over the others?

only time will tell.

Finally able to post properly

being able to post properly again,
imma start by saying that

I HATE MOCK EXAMS.

why does it have to last soo long.
by now i wud have started playing more soccer alr.
of course, not for long.

"There will be no Mid Year Examinations as we want our students to be more relaxed and take more responsibility on their own studying, whereby they know best," or something like dat.

weeks later,

"As there is no MYE, we are afraid that you will not study for your subjects so that is why we are preparing the mock exams"

Seeing how relaxed the other levels are with their MYE already over,
im GREEN with envy..

of course, there are benefits.
due to a part of mock exams being after the June Hols,
students will put in more effort in studying during this period,
that is usually put to waste.

well, however it is, an exam is still an exam.
i think dat makes alot of sense.

the Cup is back at Old Trafford where it belongs!
It may not be the year of the treble but come on! Go for a Double!

Ronaldo scores a penalty..
..while Van der Sar saves one

of course, i learned a thing or 2 from the documentary, The Kallang Wave.
ive been supporting Man Utd but i havent been putting much attention
to our very own local football!

so i decided to look back and recall some of those priceless moments
the day we beat Malaysia by penalties and went to the finals

if you feel lazy, just watch 1:00 onwards
the atmosphere could kill. i swear.

yea and for some reason i cant blog properly

MAY DAY MAY DAY

ITS MAY DAY! MAY DAY!
and i got...

....TAGGED

by Tiffany

So now im supposed to share 6 weird things about me.

lets go!

1) Tends to lose control when computer playing games, especially when losing and frustrated. Scolding vulgarities to the the monitor screen is something common at home.

2) Even after spending 16 years in this house, i still feel scared when all the lights are off and i have to make a trip to the toilet.

3) Can fall asleep very easily in the weirdest positions. Slept while standing during sec 2.

4) Is being forgetful something weird? Lost 2 handphones + 1 more lost by BENNY, 1 wallet and much more. There has been signs whereby ppl around me start to become forgetful when they start criticizing on how forgetful i am. SO BEWARE.

5) Doesnt like getting bday presents actually. But maybe this is changing!!

6) Yea i always fall asleep in class. U guys think i enjoy it rite. Well truth is, with a few exceptions, i actually HATE sleeping in class. Its the reason why i get bad results.

there u go.

so now im supposed to tag 6 ppl.
but due to lack of time i wont ( ;

so i'll let other ppl spread this taggy thingy.

as an additional treat,
here's an AMV i made which totally occupied my whole afternoon.
yes its only 1 min and a half.
but timing and all have to be precise.
anyway, this is my third,
my first is gone, along with my old com,
second up on YouTube

its based on the Sasuke Retrieval arc of the Naruto series.
Sasuke is the guy we see walking away from his village
in order to seek greater power, as he walks the path
of an avenger, trying to kill his brother.
Really, if i have to go on describing his story,
i'd take up 30 mins.

and so the 5 guys introduced later on
are sent to chase and retrieve him,
from the clutches of evil, that comes in the form
of 5 ninja's who escorts Sasuke to their master,
Orochimaru.

Intake 04 Spotted at NS40 exhibition

heres the thing.
watch this video.
try and spot something familiar.
if you are familiar with my friends and I of course..

TIP: Look at the left.

heh

i believe, from the left, it is
Muneer, Ho Wai, Wei Yuan, Ri Sheng, Chi Jie.
and others behind or blocked.
im on Muneer's right so i cant be seen

BUT MY ARM IS VISIBLE ON 00:09

on the 12th second, u see Luqman (doing sit ups)
shows his dismay in the form of hand signal.
and my arm starts pointing at him.

dats because he was doing sit ups.
but the sensor wasnt counting
cuz he didnt do it the proper way.
i think u can hear us laughing later on.

Monday, April 16, 2007

RE: Male Pregnancy

RE: JIAYAN

Male Pregnancy.
is NOT YET possible.
i'll show you why.

so it all starts here

so u referred ur readers to this website.
which practically tells us that
some Chinese Guy out there,

is PREGNANT.

a few years ago my teacher said that they ARE
researching on this.
but having recently studied the related chapter in Biology,
seriously, i dont think its possible anytime soon.

a lil bit of wads in the website
www.malepregnancy.com

when i read it for the first time,
i was rather shocked.
but the obvious question i asked myself was,
Why isnt/wasnt this shown in the news?
I mean, its GOTTA be a HOT topic.

so i began to doubt it.
then you posted this

Dont mess with the power of Wikipedia

here, i read all about male pregnancy.
still nth on the pregnant Lee Mingwei guy.

thn i scrolled down

dont see it?

(please click for larger image)

its a HOAX.

definition of Hoax:
  1. Anything deliberately intended to deceive or trick.
there you have it.
however it wasnt just a hoax.

according to
http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/malepreg.htm#malepreg

"
This site ("Site") was created to be an exploration of a very likely scenario that may one day result from new advances in biotechnology and infertility treatments. The Site itself does not provide actual commercial services, and the information contained on the Site is not represented as being factually accurate. This is a fictitious web site created by a single artist."

"
Perhaps some day these concepts might indeed become reality, but for now they exist only within the realm of fiction."

PS: Jiayan, Congrats on Spelling Bee

Soccer at Heights

Went ta Heights for soccer against
some Queenstown friends of mine.
had not played soccer like dat for weeks.
yesterday was the best day to do so.
though it got rather hot, it WAS shady for the most part.

played quite a good game
we won obviously.
but i just realised how prone the human muscle is to
CRAMPS.
like 1327863138123 ppl on the court fell victim to cramps.
it was a game that almost didnt had any momentum
injury stoppages all the time.

i seemed ok at first.
i even started criticizing the opponents for stopping the game so many times.
in the form of a light hearted joke of course.

"What Goes Around Comes Around"

yep, it happens.
as i stretched my right leg to attempt
a typical Gary Neville cross from the right flank,
i fell and felt a piercing pain coming from Hell.
had to freeze there for 5 mins.

couldnt play anymore for the rest of the day.
thn i saw Jaarvis walking out of the court.

"I feel my cramp coming already i don wan play"

smart tactic.

however, he still got injured.
thnks to the opponent using his knee to smash the side of his body.

"Fuck sia the moment he kick, i asking myself how much i can sell my kidney for"

i saw it myself.
it WAS a painful hit.
though i dun know how it felt,
you can read his blog for more details.

we talked and talked and talked.
suddenly the wind came.
and at that VERY moment,
my THIGH (earlier on my calf)
experienced a muscle cramp.
i was almost speechless.
Jaarvis still had the time to FART in front of my face.
it was the 2nd worst cramp ive ever felt in my life.
i dont wanna elaborate on the WORST one.
i could have fainted.

anyway, other than that, it was a good game.
lots of goals.
countless attempts at top corner.
but no success at all.
i guess i should train on that.

Sports Fiesta

WARNING: The blogger is not an owner of a camera of any sort and posts by him regarding special occasions like Sports Fiesta do not contain any interesting photos and may cause readers to go into an eternal bore. If you are not allowed to or dislike reading such posts, please press Alt + F4 IMMEDIATELY.

I officially declare Sports Fiesta a success.
Hell, its much more fun thn Sports Day.
Firstly, EVERYONE is involved.
of course, its up to you how INVOLVED you want to be.
There not only sports.
There are games which dont require strong
physical attributes of any kind to play.
They just require the students' enthusiasm and participation.
And well, for uniformed groups like NCC,
WE DONT HAVE TO DO DUTIES!!!

lets give a round of applause to SJAB for staying
vigilant throughout the day just to take care of our butt.
;_;

I only participated in 2 events.
Floorball and Soccer.
crashed out in the first round for floorball
and didnt make it to the semi finals for soccer.

Unlike floorball, which came as a shocking reality,
im rather satisfied with soccer.
still disappointed though.
but im satisfied.
yea.

the point is we played MUCH better
than last year, with
1 Loss, 1 Win and 1 Draw.
fair result.
i apologize to 4F due to my misconduct on the field
during the 4g vs 4f match.
desperate to win, i just couldnt hold my composure
when i thought my deserved goal was disallowed.
I AM SURE the ball was on the line.
if it already went out, how the heck could i score
from such an angle?

i participated in Football Juggling too.
When i did, there were already 2 participants with
VERY high scores.
Syed, 5A juggling the ball 92 times.
and Riyaz 4B, 140+ times.
i was a lil shocked with the statistics.
but on my first try, i scored a 114,
which made Riyaz wanna try to improve his score,
to en even more insane,
470+ score.

fair enuff.
i ended up SECOND.
but WHERE IS MY PRIZE!!
im sure i didnt hear my name being announced.
THIS IS SERIOUS.
if i dont get it im gonna refer this case to the Marines.

reason for my desperation,
ive never won a single medal/trophy
in sports, since i joined GESS.

every year without fail, Red House's relay team
comes out 2nd last.
so i won nothing there.
neither did i win anything in X Country cuz ive been lazy
and chose to do NCC duty instead.

I WANT MY TROPHY!!!

The Groupings have been decided

It has been decided.
Year 4 - 5 Soccer.

Group A
4H
4G
4F
4B

Group B
5A
5B
4I
4D
4E

My comments, 4G has avoided an early meeting with the Year 5s, but has not escaped the threat of former champions and runners up, 4B and 4F.
Moreover, 4H were the semi-finalists who only lost to the eventual champions through a penalty shootout.

Our plan? Is to only play to our fullest potential, through the experience we have. If we do so, then we dun have to blame ourselves for anything when we get eliminated. The traget is to reach the SEMIS!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Colin Gan, Team 4E

A-z: What are your thoughts and feelings being grouped in the potentially dangerous Group B of the tournament?
Colin: Well, we got some tough opponents, so all i can say is to just play our best and score a victory.

A-z: Is the morale of the team or any player affected due to this?
Colin: Phelan. He's afraid of the ferocious shot power of the players we would be encountering.

A-z: How are you guys going to solve the problem?
Colin: They are going to put me into defence and help out.

Wai Leong, Team 4E

A-z: Wad are your thoughts on going against tough opponents like 5A and 4I?
Wai Leong: *lol* zzz. Take it as unlucky. Maybe a good challenge.

A-z: Are you confident? How are you feeling?
Wai Leong: Hmm...Confidence is there; i am a little bit nervous. Our first match is against a very strong team (5A).

A-z: I wish you good luck on that

4F Team

Muneer, Team 4F

A-z: How is 4F feeling, entering this tournament as former runners up?
Muneer: Speaking the truth, there is no feeling at the moment

A-z: Who are the players to look out for this year?
Muneer: Everyone as they are equally dangerous

A-z: What are your thoughts on the amazing run into the finals last year?
Muneer: Alhamdulillah (Thank God) We were lucky

A-z: Is the team expected to enter the finals this year?
Muneer: Of course, but it will be more difficult.

A-z: A general description of your team
Muneer: Full of stamina and speed

Interview: Inter Class Soccer

In the coming of Sports Fiesta,
i interviewed 2 ppl on their teams
for Inter Class Soccer.

Hamka, Team 4H

A-z: Who is playing this year?
Ka:
kian leong, arnold, wilson, jj, me, zlz, churner

A-z: How is 4H feeling after last year their streak was

abruptly ended at the Semi Finals
Ka: We havent been playing soccer together very much this year,
so we dont know how we'll perform together.

A-z: Is alot expected from Arnold only?

Or can we expect more players to shine this year?
Ka: kian leong, if he can play. hopefully jj does well ...

A-z: Will the absence of Kian Leong make

such an impact to the team?
Ka: we will lose a pacy striker

A-z: We all know that 4H has the ability

to go all the way to the finals.
But will the introduction of the Year 5s
be of any threat to your campaign?
Ka: definitely. never played against them before
and they got like 892364782346 soccer players
in the school team,
while we only have arnold and jj (who has yet to make his debut)
oh and wilson
with 5 mins experience on the pitch.

Colin Gan, Team 4E

A-z: How is 4E feeling, partcipating for the first time
Colin: kewl! most of the soccer players were practically
absent at the competition last year,
so we gonna come back with a bang.

A-z: Does 4E stand any serious chance of going far?
Colin: if the whole team plays as a unit, we can go far

A-z: Who are the main threats in this competition?
Colin: Anyone. We cant take any teams lightly

A-z: What about the Sec 5 teams?
Colin: Yes, not only are they older,
they are physically stronger then us and have more match experience

A-z: I heard that ur team have not settled down
on who is playing goalie and such.
Is dat a major problem going on now?
Or are things doing just fine?
Colin: I feel dat there are a few suitable candidates and
we would decide on the keeper on match day
.

"The River"
(feat. M Shadows & Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold)

As I walk through the valley
of the shadow of LA
The footsteps that were next to me
have gone their separate ways
I've seen enough now
to know that beautiful things
don't always stay that way
I've done enough now
to know this beautiful place
isn't everything they say
I heard that evil comes disguised
Like the city of angels
I'm walking towards the light

Baptized in the river
I've seen a vision of my life
And I wanna be delivered
In the city was a sinner
I've done a lot of things wrong
But I swear I'm a believer
Like the prodigal son
I was out on my own
Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Baptized in the river
I'm delivered
I'm delivered

[M.Shadows:]
You're from a small town
You're gonna grow up fast
underneath these lights
Down in Hollywood
on the boulevard the dead comes back to life
To the praying Mother
And the worried Father
Let your children go
If they come back
They'll come home stronger
And if they don't you'll know

They say evil comes disguised
Like the city of angels
I'm walking towards the light

Baptized in the river
I've seen a vision of my life
And I wanna be delivered
In the city was a sinner
I've done a lot of things wrong
But I swear I'm a believer
Like the prodigal son
I was out on my own
Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Baptized in the river
I'm delivered
I'm delivered

Baptized in the river (on my own)
Baptized in the river (on my own)
I wanna be delivered
(on my own, on my own)
Baptized in the river (on my own)
I wanna be delivered
Baptized in the river (on my own)
I wanna be delivered
Baptized in the river (on my own)
I wanna be delivered
I confess I'm a sinner
I've seen a vision of my life
And I wanna be delivered!

sleepwalking? S League

kinda weird.
i took a nap. thn i was dreaming
about myself waking up.
waking up to BIN HONG's call to my HANDPHONE.
(Bin Hong doesnt call me. And i have no handphone)
kay

kinda obvious it was a dream.
i "went back to sleep"
thn BIN HONG called my home number.
i cant recall wad pointless stuff i said to him.
i just "went back to sleep"

this is the part where it gets confusing.
i remember on my way to the pillow on the floor,
i stopped by the computer.
to stop the music which was playing.
true enough, i left the music on when i went to sleep.
thn i recall almost banging onto the fan.
i even commented on how sleepy and drowsy i was.
so i "went back to sleep"

when i TRULY woke up.
i realised it was ALL A DREAM.

but.

the music was paused.

sleepwalking?
i dont know.

5 days away from Civilisation

i ordered for an upsized Zinger meal.
something rather rare cuz i dont eat much.
thn the person taking my order asked me.

"Normal Zinger rite?"
"err...yea"

*turns around
"eh Danny. got normal Zinger and special Zinger meh?"

"Dont know 5 days in jail anything can happen"

>_<

i later realized. maybe she was asking me if i wanted
to remove vege or anything?

Annual Camp 2007 Review

i figured it was time for me to post
on Annual Camp 2007.
after sleeping for 14 hours straight.

of course, Annual Camp was very tiring.
wadever they said about it being tougher for NCOs
as compared to cadets
is nothing more than the truth.

Execution of activities wasn't perfect.
but im satisfied enough dat most activities
ran smoothly.

i didnt care if the activities werent perfect.
be it Platoon or Company level.
wad mattered to me were
the camp objectives for Part C.

- Prompt each and every cadet to show their potential
through activities like IFC Mutual Test,
East Coast - School Trek, Company Outing
and others, all Part Cs were given a chance
to do so. some more than others. but i think
every1 tried. im starting to have an idea of who will be
Appointment Holders. but dats to be confirmed later.

- Inculcate leadership in every individual
I believe the lessons have thought them much,
be it planning a training, SOP or public
speaking. not only dat, through exposure of being
In Charge of small squads of sec1s and 2s, Part Cs
have realized the importance of putting others
before self.

- Emphasize the importance of team contribution.
to overcome obstacles.
well there were quarrels, there were conflicts.
personally i think their unity isnt strong enough to be NCOs.
but there is still time to work on dat.

and my personal objectives.
not gonna tell too much except for this.
objectives not met yet.

Annual Camp also helps NCOs understand their cadets better.
other than gaining much experience from this camp,
i enjoyed it to quite an extent.
there is still alot of work left to be done.
and i promise to give 100% dedication to them
until all my personal objectives are complete.

this was either before or after a meal

playing Combat Skirmish.
Chi Jie and Hardeep's group, the yellow team.

Of course, they got owned by my Red Team.

Group 6's combination of Part B and Cs.
Me, Mun Wah, Ali, Rahim and Hardeep's group.
Well done guys!
We were the onli group to stick to most
of the original route.

PS: Most pics of Annual Camp currently not with me.
so not gonna post them YET.

25th Anniversary

Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary to my Uncle and Aunt!
It was held at Orchid Country Club. A name which certainly rang a bell.
I realized it was the place i played Paintball during Part C camp.

I realized my mother is treated with much respect in the family.
She got a seat (along with my father) at the main table.
Well, she DID sacrifice her education just to work and help out in the house. (kampong)
She is the oldest among her siblings btw

I was left behind with my cousin's cousin.
WHASSUPWITDAT? I mean the son has gotta be sitting in the main table too rite?
Well nvrm. What i didnt realize was dat i was sitting beside a special guest.
He was the one who introduced my uncle to his eventual wife.
And well, during the photo montage, they showed the picture of a certain young boy
who was posing to the camera, naked.
I only realized it was the person beside me when every1 was shouting his name
and looking towards my table, laughing.

Forgot to mention. They are a family dat love to joke and laugh.
So i did have quite a dinner.
